Regarding the waits to post if you have a registered game or not... this could become problematic if someone registers then has a question or needs help. For example, someone buys DA:I, registers it with their Origin
account, and starts playing - then has a question or technical issue. They come to the BSN to ask - do they have to wait 24 hours? When registering a game, access to be able to post about that game should be immediate. There will be plenty with questions, and even plenty who want to rave about it or say how much fun they're having.
Another example: Someone has DA:O and DA ][ but is waiting to get DA:I until after they can ask some questions about it. Sure, they can read other people's posts, but can't ask their own question for 30 days?
Perhaps I am misunderstanding that section of the rules?
All that aside, thank you all *so* much for the rules change. I think many more people will enjoy the conversations here when they are not allowed to degenerate into such depths of spite and malice as previously. I'm a moderator on a totally non-related board and have found that once people understand how they are expected to post (respectfully), things are much smoother, especially when we are consistent in applying the rules.
There was a post earlier about someone feeling they needed to curse in order to get their point across - but they did just fine in that post without doing so ;) You can do it! A four letter word used to get a point across is the easy way; one can do it much better other ways without resorting to that.
A suggestion for the list of moderators in the forum listings: If you set that element (I believe it's the moderators class) to display:none in the CSS file, that list won't show at all. It would, indeed, make those pages much cleaner-looking.
Thanks again for all the changes! I look forward to a much friendlier BSN :wizard:
