On host, how different it is. I must host more often! I just can't be bothered to wait for lobby to fill. 

It's not terrible on all kits off host. Just need a stunning power to reliably make it work for you.

I use it on a shockwave-less BatSent. Sub net holds them still, and anything to big to be held by the net is easy to hit. even if a phantom bubbles a head-shot will OHK.
