Hey guys I heard you can get a really nice tanking weapon in the kings room? I have searched everywhere in the Throne area and harrowmounts estate did I miss it? Or do I need to do something?

You can get a two-handed sword called Ageless. Select the throne, have each of your companions stand on one of the three pressure plates, kill the dragon that appears, collect the sword.

No, a Two-Handed sword is not a "Tanking weapon". It is a quite good damage-dealing one though.

That said, people have soloed the game with a 2-Hand warrior, so you could tank well enough with a 2-Hand weapon if you were so inclined

I got it last night, you have to stand on 3 panels then push a switch to acitvate it. i youtubed it, its called the ageless sword.

There is a shield you can get from stealing from Bhelen's advisor. I don't remember it being great but it isn't bad either.

Ageless is probably the most nice looking weapon in the entire game. I love how the blade comes out of the hilt.

This is really the easiest high quality 2 hander to get early in the game. It was my goto weapon for my main in my second playthrough until I opened up and could afford the Chasind Great Maul, then I converted it into my darkspawn pwning 2hander by adding 3 silverite runes to it. I actually got my first 250 damage hit with Ageless on a darkspawn. I went to Orzammar straight away after Lothering just for this weapon.
