You are living in the past, it might apply to Call of Duty, but not to this.

May be EA is aim for COD market? It's a big damm market that everyone wants to be in.

They did shout it out when DA2 was in development.  "We want the CoD fanbase"

No. Advertising is how you draw in customers. Marketing maybe, but more than anything, the ACTUAL GAME is how the public will perceive your game.

People draw lots of conclusions on what a product will be like depending on how it's advertised and marketted, whether or not those conclusions are correct.

You might have perceived it as a Dudebro Call of Duty/Halo clone, but I didn't.

Remarkable. It's almost as if we're two different people.

With RPG ? Yeaaah, I think even they know that they have no place in that market with a game like that. They need way more explosions, way more customizable weapons and gameplay that requires way less thinking.

You mean like ME2 and ME3? ;)

I don't really get why people always pull the profit excuse when it comes to not marketing games with female leads.I thought a business is supposed to include more customers instead of driving them away because of some old boy's club.

Still lacking in gun customization and required bit too much thinking at times. You actually had to take cover.

Tbh those games were trying to attract the Gears of War crowd with it's cover shooting and ME3's Horde Mode.

Try marketting some teeny bopper act at a Children of Bodom gig and see how much more costumers you'll generate.

You already know about the game and you perticipate in convos on their social network. EA's Marketing branch hardly care about what you want to see in an ad. So I really don't need to know why, and EA most definitely doesnt either.

I never said ME2 or ME3 were any good nor did I say BioWare did a succesful job at cathering to the CoD audience, but I think it's pretty damn clear that that was indeed the intent with those two games.

Also LOL @ ME2/3 requiring any thinking what so ever,

Who are these hypothetical people who make conclusions on a game's quality by the ads? They may decide to buy a product from it, but most don't judge a game from a ten second explosion.

So you try to distract from the sexism of the gaming industry and pretend it doesn't exist? Well excuse me, but apathy is death.

Is it too much to ask for a game that considers female fans? In a day and age where almost all protagonists are grizzled dudebro clones, it'd just be nice to have a bit of variety.
