Shale sounds more gender neutral, You can definitely hear both sides when you listen to her voice, but to say the pride demons are maybe female when nearly everyone codifies them as male and they sound male, doesn't really count as being female. When you have to head cannon it being female I don't think it counts. Also when you say petite and feminine, I don't think you realize that those don't have to go together. You can be 15 feet tall with huge biceps and sound feminine, without sounding petite.
I mean, more women sound like Aveline, than Minnie Mouse. I don't think people want them to sound like Minnie Mouse, but you can sound strong, powerful, and feminine without it being jarring.
