I'm sort of torn.

When I first bought this game, I was in a rush to get to work, and I didn't spend much time on the creation. I played for two hours, and went off, and my Shepard was...well, not really hideous, but...well, I could've done better, and I have made better looking since then.

Still...I know I can redo her in ME2,  make her look better. But she's my main Shepard. My only level 60. She's an Infiltrator, and I love playing the Infiltrator. I'm tempted to just leave her as is, you know?

Anyone else in the same pot?

Not really.. The only Shepard I have who will be receiving a major face life actually does need one, where as the others will only receive cosmetic changes dependent upon what new hair and scar options are added.

Still I can sort of understand. It'd be weird playing through 30+ hours of a game with a certain character only to change them later on. By then you're already used to how that particular character looks.

Actually...I've got about 80 hours on her file. >_>

I'm a little obsessed. I can admit that.

My Shepherd's as awesome as me, which is a mean feat," Lucid says in feigned conceit.

Change Shep, and pretend it's a retcon.

Obviously, your Shep ALWAYS looked that way.

No worries, I have a playthrough that's almost that long with my Soldier. xD

Yay for being obsessed. :wizard:

I really hope that Bioware has added some new hair, beard, scar options for the character creation tool. With the resources in ME1 I have found it impossible to make a cool looking male Shepard.

im gonna guess you did all the mineral and anomaly scanning and the really side stuff like that.
Otherwise i think on my guy i did just about every side quest but skipped running around each planet to get every little thing.

Oh, don't worry. I usually make really ugly characters if I can't be bothered to make something decent. Which means my Male Shep looks pretty stupid. I'll probably redo the facial options this time round.

No. I like the idea of my Shepard being changed/reconstructed by the experience and having the appearance reflecting that on some level. Could be subtle, could be dramatic. Depends on how much I'm oohing and aahing over the character creator options.

when I tried to make my femsheps look good they always ended up looking exactly the same...I don't know maybe theres only a certain amount of good looking combinations, they'll definatley be getting new looks, I wonder if youe LI form ME1 (if youhad one) would notice or just continue like youlooked exactly the same?

I understand completely. I was never very good at creating dudesheps, and my first attempt was "homely" to say the least. However after boosting him to level 60 I've gotten used to how he looks. He may be a butt-ugly manshep but he's MY butt-ugly manshep, and I'm not exchanging him for a prettier one. Plus I've factored his uglyness into his backstory. He's paragon in essentials but is usually a jerk to everyone except his crew, 'cause he feels self-conscious. Big and nasty on the outside but a total teddybear at heart.

I've found that the only way I can make a decent looking dude is to make him ghostly white and give him black hair. Otherwise his eyebrows always seem to melt into his skin color.

Lucid Shepherd is black and looks fine.

My main I MAY change her complexion the entire slider looked pretty much the same in the character creation lighting, but after being in the game I could tell I was on the wrong end of it, Or I may leave it, she ain't fugly either way.

My others I don't care enough to waste time changing except maybe adding new scars to the renegade.

I always make male characters with "characteristic" features for my main playthrough of these games. Otherwise there's no point in making your own character model. You could just as well go with the default if you want the classic good looks.

My Shepard has a broad nose and giant, scarred lips and a goofy mustasch. I'll be giving him a beard and a ponytail in the sequal if it's possible.
