Hey Bioware,

Any chance we'll see a character creator like we did for DA:O prior to release?  Would be great if we could create our characters so that when we get the game we'll be able to jump straight in.

Cheers.  ^_^

Would be nice for sure. It can also spur interest among people who are not DA fans. If they make the character creator with lots of options, I'm sure a lot of people who tried it out would buy the game to use the characters they created. It's a win-win for both the company and the gamers.

Adding the option to save created character would also help heaps. I wanted such a feature to exist in Saints Row 4, because that game had such a great creator.

No doubt I would kill so much time creating several characters.

Honestly, I had a lot of fun with the character creator. I think Lionhead tried to copy this idea to a certain extent with regards to Fable III. I haven't seen any other company try and do this, would be great if Bioware pushed this out.

The last two Saint's Row games have done something like this, which is just part of why they're freaking phenomenal. I hope BDubs does the same thing with DAI.

Yup SR did this but doesn't change the fact that SR aint SR anymore ... anyway

Since the release date is in freaking fall ¬_¬ the cc station would land 2-3 weeks before the game is out so doesn't make any difference now. Vid would be much usefull, since now DA is kind a news dead (i know there was like two art, couple screens but still slow)

This is what I would do, and then use none of them once I got the game, because creating another new character is too fun to pass up.:P

If they did this I might actually spend more time tweaking my character. But as with most games, I'm usually too eager to play the game that all I do is make some superfluous changes to the stock options and start playing.

Yes. Seeing the engine's capabilities and customization options will be cool.

It usually takes me a very long time to create my characters. I would love for them to do this so I can create the best character possible before I play DAI. Plus, it would really help to pass the time leading up to Inquisition's release.

I would love this type of option, I would also like an environment viewer, so when you've made the character in the creator you could have them move about in various environments see how the lighting and shadows hits your character so you can truly create your perfect character.
(I kind of feel like i got this inspiration from spore's character creator......)

Nothing is worse than spending ages making a character only to get in-game and to see they look nothing like they do in the creator and having to start over

I'd probably get really carried away and make one of each gender and race xD Then not be able decide who to play as first

I would love to do this. Especially since it would keep me busy while we wait for the game to come out. Bioware please do this!!!

Even if they don't do that I would love for them to tell us what is available customization wise.

Me too. I wish I could import my SR3 character into DAI. Image IPB

I also support this.

Fun Fact: I had never heard of Dragon Age. I was looking for a free character creator to make a visual for my tabletop D&D game. Found the Dragon Age: Origins Character Creator. Used it, became intrigued. Bought DA:O ... and every single DLC, expansion, and sequel since. That CC literally created a lifelong fan.

So, Bioware, it worked at least once!

Heck, at this point if they could give us anything we could use/play to help sate our longing to play DAI I would be so grateful.

They didn't do it with DA2, people had to hack the demo to unlock the CC.

So I don't see why they would do it with DAI.

^ I love your SG-1 theme. But anyway, Colonel, I do disagree with your logic. While I concur this is one of the less likely returning features out there, it's no secret at this point that the team is being tasked with recreating a sense of anticipation more along the lines of what their core fandom afforded them with Origins than with 2. So many things have already sounded more Origins-esque, so it wouldn't completely surprise me if this too were brought back into the foray.

I have been wanting since I late last year. Some fan on twitter asked Mike Laidlaw about a stand alone CC and he said maybe. Maybe all this support for it would make Bioware agree to do it. I loved what Volition did with SR:TT and SRIV with the Initiation/Inaguration Station and how it built up excitement for the game and I think Bioware should do it with DA:I as well with all options unlocked. Also, I would love to create my human warrior, human mage and male Qunari so I am ready to go when the Fall comes.

They would probably release it in August or September, to build a good amount of hype around it.
