So after playing through the Citadel DLC again, I just can't help myself but think that the Cateory 6 Merc group is pretty damn cool. So cool that I think what they could have eventually become (main antagonist in next ME series, group the protagonist of next ME can be a part of, etc.) was wasted on the silly, but good DLC extentsion.

I mean how cool would it be many many years down the road of whatever continuity choice BW picks, to have Cat 6 appear again, only to have Alliance retired Joker as the Cat 6 leader of the entire organization, whose primary mission is to disrupt the galactic political enviroment for events after the Reaper War? I mean the pro-human agenda never subsided, I mean ME 3 was all about suporting Earth to begin with. With Cerberus and TIM out of the way, Cat 6 could rise to become a new player in the Galatic community.

Some plots that could be used after ME3 are:

Control: Cat6 and other groups like Terra Firma and whatever reminants of Cergerus gain numbers and backing due to a portion of humanity's reluctance to accept the Reapers support. This inevitably leads to tension and war between themselves, the Alliance and the Council, as they continue to welcome the Reapers new found support throughout the galaxy.

Synthesis: Kind of the same as Control, just tweaked more so at the disgust of losing their humanity, and now utilizing their newfound power to wage war with those who do not share their vision of reverting back. Could also throw in some plot of them researching with the possibilty of finding a way to reverse the Synthesis process. (Hey they allowed space magic once, why not do it again... :wizard:)

Destroy: After all artificial intelligent life is destroyed, the Council and the Galactic community are once again trying to create artificial intelligence. Knowing what this has inevitably led to before, Cat 6 and other allied groups wage civil wars to stop the galaxy from making another mistake. Could also use EDI's loss to fuel fire for Joker's anger to rebel.

IDK, just something I felt, how about you guys, do you feel Cat 6 could have been something better or great? What would you have in mind for continuation if they brought them back?

If they did it once, they can do it again. Creating cool looking dudes in armor is probably the easiest part of the job. Visually, there's nothing wrong with any enemies in the games... except Banshees. That ****'s just not right.

Yuck, Banshee ****** just made me want to kill them faster...hated looking at those synthetic saggy things, prancing about as she fired balls of energy at me..

-_-

However, you're right. It's just the Cat 6 I think had some cool background being the whole 'Alliance reject" theme going for it. Cerberus kind of pulled that off with Jacob, and you could count Shepard, even though Alliance still used him for their needs as well. I still think an older, wiser and still sarcastic Joker as the future leader of the new pro humanist group would be pretty sweet...

You ain't seen nothing yet.

Personally, I don't think that ex-military PMCs have been overdone in media.

Joker as the leader of a human-supremacist private army  fighting against the Council?

Horrible idea. It would be completely out of character for Joker, considering he is not a human supremacist. The Illusive Man he is not. Furthermore why would Joker, a pilot with brittle bone disease, be the leader of any private army regardless of their goals?

And why would a private army that is human only, be able to rival the combined fleets of the Asari, Turians, Salarians, Hanar, Elcor, ect, ect, ect? Also a bad idea. The series needs less 'humans are special,' not more.

It would be completely out of Joker's character, however, many years after the war, losing his love, his best friend Shepard, could lead him astray to accept the more anti-council group than pro humanist. I guess I should clarify that pro human groups will provide him and everyone else the means to go against the council. He's always express his discontent for the council and what they do, or lack of doing anything, as they have done throughout the series...

Also, in speaking about those combined fleets of the xenos' since the mass relays are completely damaged and the fleets of  central groups and races are damaged, it would be optimal as each group will be vulerable during that particular stage. Whichever ending chosen, its nothing but a big reset button for the galaxy, a galaxy that can be forged as the strongest party sees fit. I would expect plenty of groups to emerge to vie for power, Joker possibly being the leader was just a wild idea I think could be cool

Shepard's been using 'Cat 6' this entire trilogy.

Well okay, the Green only comes in ME3.
