Everytime I try to start Mass Effect I get a message that an error occured with the game and then it closes, I just installed the game today.

i think hes talking about the digital download version from origin, i bought it too and it just refuses to start up.

No matter what version, there was NEVER any official tech support on BSN, and a year ago, all unofficial self-help for any but the oldest of Legacy games was all shut down, which includes all versions of all three Mass Effect chapters.

Have you applied the latest patch already?
ME1 will crash under Windows Vista or later, but the last patch for it solves the problem.
