I usually pug Gold because I'd rather carry Gold than Platinum

Plat is mostly friends only. I did get a Gold lobby that changed to Plat when I joined. We did very well, but I'm sure that was a group of friends who were playing troll the pug.

Good old gold. More relaxing at times & now & again a riot of fun intense action as you drag pugz to victory. Platinum is either tedious DPS or Pugz flailing on land.

If I pug, I always pug Platinum, on PC it's not too hard finding lobbies and I never see any missile glitchers. Even if I have to carry the match, pugging gold is just boring because it's not a real challenge and the people are mostly bad players -.-

Every time I try to PUG Plat, I fall into a match with a missile glitcher, and that still turns my blood red and completely puts me off to even playing the game. So, I do not PUG Plat anymore.

The last 2-3 months I've been pugging Platinum to try to finish maxing my manifest. It's become increasingly frustrating though, spending more of my play time jumping from lobby to lobby than actually completing matches. Between missile glitchers, Rio/Reapers and Giant/Reapers preset lobbies, there just aren't enough good lobbies to justify doing it most of the time. If I find a group that's good enough for us to finish a game, I'll stay with them until one of them leaves since they're so few and far between.

Pugging 90% Gold / 10% platinum (only, when there are no scrubs in the lobby)

Same here, ClydeInTheShell. I mostly host games myself, and I wait for competent players to arrive into my lobby. Why don't you do the same? You can chose the enemy/faction, and I'm sure you can judge which players are competent enough to handle the Platinum setting you chose. It has made a huge difference for me, and I can actually play Vanguard on Platinum now. Are you on PC?

Wait, you just said that before we played you used to have +40 min plat games? wow, how does it feel to jump from 40 mins matches to 15? lol

Also the 10 min game we had without strategy was really funny.

To complete some enemy challenges like Guardians, Troopers etc.

I mainly pug Gold and every once in awhile I attempt to pug Platinum. Platinum pugs usually end up being FUBAR because of the laundry list of typical issues so I typically only play that with a friend or more.

You should at least try it a few times. The pugs aren't all bad, and with a decent team and the right map/enemy, it can be extremely smooth.

No sir, I'm am ecks bawks all day, with a little peaesstree sprinkled in. 

As for hosting games, I tried that too but it really doesn't make finding a team any faster.

@ Clyde I always have friends to play platinum with. Usually there is a waiting line of people in party wanting to join games if someone leaves. I'm so spoiled, I don't think I could bring myself to pug platinum. Lol

Edit: I still occasionally PUG Platinum.  Due to these reasons above, I usually leave the lobby disappointed/enraged.
