The game is already dead for the majority of PC players, Origin is completely and utterly broken

The only major problem is the RNG grind towards end game. Otherwise everything else is pretty fun to obtain and play for.

Farming the same boss 7 times to get a chassis sure was fun the last time I played it.

Surely you mean 40 times... lol. (It's improved since then, parts are now guaranteed to drop)

Anyway, this game still has support/devs that listen. I haven't paid a single cent to play, but I do admit it is really hard to be a newbie with no one to help you. I quit trying this back in March, only got really into it last September once friends were carrying me playing.

I've actually taken several hiatuses since first getting into MP3 multiplayer. I'm always surprised to find how viable the experience is after all this time. I reckon I'll play it on and off until it stops being viable, by which time the 8th generation consoles might actually have a few decent games.

It wasn't always about getting a part or not, it was getting 6 helmets before getting a chassis.

It wasn't a game that was even that hard. I mean my Ash could speedrun most levels without even trying. My issue was more about underhanded business tactics.

This game died completely a very long time ago, well over a year ago. Time to throw out all your garbage xbox and playstation consoles, just put them in the trash cans where they belong just as I have done, don't even bother donating them for parts. If people are really serious about wanting to play any game, you should buy a gaming computer of some kind.

I'll be very very sad if the next Mass Effect is not out by then(I hope the multiplayer is as good as this one though). I haven't found any games to play since been there done that on my favourite games(Darksiders 2, Reckoning) am tired of Borderlands 2. I hate FIFA13 though I still play it once in a while. So I might just keep FIFA13 and deal with the frustration that comes with it.

Massive backlog of Steam games to clear ... I've also got about £40 of free vouchers to use in Warframe if they've not expired yet (not got around to trying it).

Might even play some Starcraft 2 since I've not touched it for ages - hell, I don't think I've even played with the Heart of the Swarm expansion yet and I bought the limited edition boxed set on pre-order.

The problem is - I keep playing "old favourites" ... ME3, XCOM, Civ 5 (sometimes Civ 4modded), the Total War series and SimCity 4 (yeah, the one that's more than 10 years old not the current Sim "City" on Origin) oh and Gran Turismos 5 & 6 on the ol' PS3 ... and yet I still keep buying games that look interesting when they're cheap on Steam.

I'm taking a break from ME3 ATM. But I do play still from time to time.

Warframe is replacing it for the moment. We'll see about Titanfall when it drops (not pre-ordering after reports on how BF4 is)

I will be playing ME4 when it arrives

Heart of the Swarm was good for one playthrough.. but it didn't call back to me like Wings of Liberty did.

This is a good question, I can betcha tho whatever it it... isn't going to be 1st person. As I get older I find first person games simply turn me off... 3rd person is where its at.

the HotS campaign is terrible. Don't waste your time.

This is exactly the boat I'm in (though on PC). I guess my whole point of this thread is: there really isn't anything out there (and nothing on the horizon?) that does basically what ME3 does, only better. That's pretty unusal for a game at the end of its lifecycle.

For me, Borderlands 2 was the nearest thing to it, but I find the loot system freaking annoying (compare to ME3 where you actually get more points/kit from excellent teamwork.)

Actually, the game is more entertaining now as PUGs are filled with noobs that want to learn and vets that generally just want to help them. There's way less grief than there was a year ago. At least on PC anyway.

Hmm, if it is right now, SWTOR, maybe get around to finishing Witcher 2, Borderlands 2, and Fallout New Vegas.  If they are out by then, ME4, DA:I, maybe ESO and Titanfall, depending on how they look.

I enjoy that one too, but the problem with it is that some of the decks are stupidly OP compared to eachother, which makes for an irritating lack of variety in opponents.  The same few decks, with the same exact setups in those decks...
