I didn't get that meaning out of what was said at all. He told Jack he wanted to touch her (to read her, I'm assuming), and she told him to touch himself.

She said "Go touch yourself". Then he shamelessly says he reserves that for after the party.

Ah, never caught that. He's right though. That's one reason why I dislike it myself (on a larger scale at least, it doesn't set a good precedent).

Shouldn't he say the same thing when Femshep hooks up with Traynor? (He doesn't, btw.) Also, does this mean he is cool with humans producing Asari children?

I took that as another moment of Javik trolling. Besides, in the case of the Asari, that objection doesn't hold. And I'm sure he's aware of that.

How does the objection not hold? Blue babies aren't human.

It's still not an absolute inability to procreate, like with other races where there is obvious genetic incompatibility. Regardless of the race, it's still Sheps' child.

I wouldn't be surprised in 170 years from now that two women, with help from doctors, can have a baby without needing a male. There are a few articles mentioning that it could be possible in the future.

Fair enough. It is his/her child, I guess.. I'm just not sure in what way. The Asari strike me as one of the more alien races.. even if it's not obvious at first.

I think with Javik it is more a case of the Protheans viewing the proper relationship between species as being some sort of Darwinian struggle for dominance. Thus Shepard having a child with an Asari is unnatural to him, because Shepard is helping another species reproduce rather than his own.

He probably doesn't have a problem at all with it from Liara's perspective though.

Do they have a romance?

I thought they have some dialogue that suggests they are close, but nothing necessarily romantic.
