Dear Bioteam! Can clearify one thing fo us, please? Is there cnance of play in Game of Thrones? Landsmeet was my favorite quest in game- it gave PC opportunity to be involved in intrigues and not only fight with monsters.
I hope to Play in Orlesian Grand Game and choose ruler for Orlais (Gaspard or Celene).

I wouldnt doubt those type of scenarios, im assuming with the amount of influence we have with an army, on top of being a more political game from what ive read

It's at least highly likely. The Arishok would probably get a heart attack given his dislike of quarrels among the Kirkwall nobility. Then again, it would be a nice surprise if they played on some "typically Orlesian" clichés just as they did with Leliana in DAO.

I doubt that game and novel will be connected like DAO and Stolen Throne were, though, as that seems too simple.

Yeah I loved the Landsmeet. Even though most of it had little to no impact on the outcome of the game the dialogue decisions and completion of quests leading up to it all seemed more meaningful somehow.

Yes I think it was the best part in DAO. May be not the most compleax intrigue in game world but at least I felt my character as intiguant.:D

Pretty much. I liked the whole Ferelden Civil War/Landsmeet storyline and the Arling of Amaranthine storyline in DAO a lot more than the fantastical Darkspawn and the Blight. I was hoping DA2 would have gone that direction, but instead went along the fantastical path with the Mage-Templar storyline.

I'd take Fereldan Banns and Orlesian Lancers over demons and darkspawn any day.

Landsmeet was also one of my fav parts of Origins. I do hope we have some influence in the imperial court.

It's almost certain that ,the inquisitor will meddle in politics.Considering that both the warden and Hawke were involved in Ferelden and Kirkwall's politics respectively.(The warden even choses who becomes king)
After all a figure like the inquisitor, with an army at his disposal is guaranteed to find himself involved in politics and intrigues as hi influence and power increases.

I liked the Landsmeet in Origins, but I also really liked A Day in Court in Awakening.

Good stuff. Yes, it's sometimes good to be offered choices that do not involve either combat or mere interpersonal interaction. But get into bigger macro level stuff. "Politicking." Actual ruling and making the decisions of a ruler. Swaying peoples' views.

This is the big reason why I hated being made Viscount, then having to disappear, before getting to make any decisions ... or politick any nobles to sway them to my reforms for Kirkwall. Problem is, that place had problems that it would take a lot more than 2 years to solve.

Why yes, sir, I would have some moar.

Since there is no torture, the torturous kind of politics will be absent.

Other kinds of politicking, well, that will be fair game.

As head of the Inquisition, we will be dealing with high priests and prelates, at least eventually, if not initially. As our organization grows in power and influence.

Dabbling in politics is always super fun in video games when done right. I hope rogues can be a bard and meddle with the Orlaisian politics.

I doubt we''ll get a very political scenario in this game like we did in DA:O in the Landsmeet. Not endearing enough to the CoD crowd. I'm not trying to be a smart***, but seeing the heavy action approach they've been taking their games lately, I can't see this happening.

So much wrong with this. So because DA 2 and ME 3 didnt live up to expectations that automatically concludes that Bioware is action oriented now? You're basing your judgement on past mistakes rather than realizing that they've learned from them. Researching the game, i can reassure you, its not trying to appeal to the "CoD crowd"

It would make a lot of sense to have another "Landsmeet" in Inquisition, in deciding the fate of Orlais. Hope it happens!
