I doubt that game and novel will be connected like DAO and Stolen Throne were, though, as that seems too simple.

Yes I think it was the best part in DAO. May be not the most compleax intrigue in game world but at least I felt my character as intiguant.KaiserShep wrote...
Yeah I loved the Landsmeet. Even though most of it had little to no impact on the outcome of the game the dialogue decisions and completion of quests leading up to it all seemed more meaningful somehow.

Pretty much. I liked the whole Ferelden Civil War/Landsmeet storyline and the Arling of Amaranthine storyline in DAO a lot more than the fantastical Darkspawn and the Blight. I was hoping DA2 would have gone that direction, but instead went along the fantastical path with the Mage-Templar storyline.
I'd take Fereldan Banns and Orlesian Lancers over demons and darkspawn any day.

After all a figure like the inquisitor, with an army at his disposal is guaranteed to find himself involved in politics and intrigues as hi influence and power increases.

Good stuff. Yes, it's sometimes good to be offered choices that do not involve either combat or mere interpersonal interaction. But get into bigger macro level stuff. "Politicking." Actual ruling and making the decisions of a ruler. Swaying peoples' views.
This is the big reason why I hated being made Viscount, then having to disappear, before getting to make any decisions ... or politick any nobles to sway them to my reforms for Kirkwall. Problem is, that place had problems that it would take a lot more than 2 years to solve.
Why yes, sir, I would have some moar.

Other kinds of politicking, well, that will be fair game.
As head of the Inquisition, we will be dealing with high priests and prelates, at least eventually, if not initially. As our organization grows in power and influence.

So much wrong with this. So because DA 2 and ME 3 didnt live up to expectations that automatically concludes that Bioware is action oriented now? You're basing your judgement on past mistakes rather than realizing that they've learned from them. Researching the game, i can reassure you, its not trying to appeal to the "CoD crowd"Mdoggy1214 wrote...
I doubt we''ll get a very political scenario in this game like we did in DA:O in the Landsmeet. Not endearing enough to the CoD crowd. I'm not trying to be a smart***, but seeing the heavy action approach they've been taking their games lately, I can't see this happening.
