Landsmeet was great.

up to the point it was absulutly pointless and you had to fight Logaen anyway.

6 to 1, BAH screw the Landsmeet I want combat to dicide this.

wait what? if you couyld just say "Screw the landsmeet" why didn't anyone else step up and kill his ass..

Did you play Landsmeet at all? If you win the vote, you don't have to battle Loghain's soldiers.

It was pretty hilarious to lose only for Eamon to order his troops to start attacking.

I'd love for there to be a Red Wedding like situation where, depending on your choices, you'd either be the victim or the perpetrator.
But there's no way Bioware can pull something like that off.

Oh, yes, definitely. More political intrigue, please.

I liked the Landsmeet very much, and one of the things I loved about Awakening (depiste the many bugs) was that you had to administer your own castle. When in DA2 Hawke's position as Champion didn't amount to anything apart from a fancy title, I was disappointed.

Also, we're going to Orlais! The land where the Grand Game reigns supreme! And there's a civil war too! That's just begging for the player to meddle in.

Sure Bioware can't do that. It's not like they made a Human Noble origin in DA:O. Oh wait...

The Human Noble Origin happened regardless of your actions. I'm talking about your decisions backfiring in such a spectacular way that, just as you think you have won, you supposed allies turn on you and throw down everything you accomplished..
And that is something I don't see Bioware ever doing.

Someone comes to your garden and pulls out your prize winning Begonias? That would be harsh.

I agree with this, it would be pretty awesome if, should a player **** up or make a stupid decision, they get betrayed/destroyed.

But its mostly wishful thinking I suppose...

I doubt we''ll get a very political scenario in this game like we did in DA:O in the Landsmeet. Not endearing enough to the CoD crowd. I'm not trying to be a smart***, but seeing the heavy action approach they've been taking their games lately, I can't see this happening.

So much wrong with this. So because DA 2 and ME 3 didnt live up to expectations that automatically concludes that Bioware is action oriented now? You're basing your judgement on past mistakes rather than realizing that they've learned from them. Researching the game, i can reassure you, its not trying to appeal to the "CoD crowd"

DA2 and ME3 didn't live up to my expectations, but that's completely irrelevant to what I said. I've researched DA:I too. I'm glad they're bringing back a lot of the things that we loved from DA:O, but it still looks like it has that heavy action approach.

And what brought you to that conclusion given the minimal footage we've seen?

And here I thought this thread would be about the vast number of things DA took from Game of Thrones and it's sequels

Well yes considering the amount of hours of gameplay the game will contain what we saw was very minimal, but i was referring to the combat. Imagine if they only showed the assault on ostagar for DA:O and fans came to the same conclusion

Yeah but DA:O came out when Bioware was still doing the traditional RPG. Before they started to lean more towards action oriented gameplay beginning with ME2.

You're judging too much based on passed projects, its obvious that Bioware has listened to the constructive criticism and based development partially on fan feedback

I don't recall "moar politics" as one of the criticisms of DA2.

If we don't judge a gaming company on previous games they released what else do we judge them on?

They out right lied on key aspects of ME3, this could be the exact same thing.

Don't get me wrong, I hope DA:I will be a great game, but I certainly wont be pre-ordering.
