Come on, whats wrong with whitey?
EDIT: Besides, Anderson wasn't too bad of a character. Maybe a little too much of a "yes man" to Shepard, but otherwise I liked him. Though I understand your frustrations with Jacob. Good guy for the most part, just kind of bland.

I agree. We need more diversity. While blue is cool. Let's get real. Birds and humans ain't gonna deal. So how about some more black and Asian LI next time, and stay away from stereotypes.
Exactly. Now I know this may sound cruel of me being a Thanemancer, but I found Kai-Leng very attractive model wise. If Thane had Kai-Lengs model I would have passed out.

Particularly Asians.
You ever notice how in movies if the male lead is Asian and the female LI is not Asian he doesn't get to have a romance scene with her (like Jet-Li with Aaliyah in Romeo Must Die).

Still, I wouldn't be averse to a bit more diversity in general with NPCs. I mean, we're based in this world where humanity has united under one overarching government and scattered all over the galaxy. There's no reason more white people should be knocking about than any other race I suppose. Honestly I did think meeting Samesh Bhatia was a nice touch for example.
I'll say this, if you want more Black and Asian characters, I think it would be nice to go one further and have them not be American.

This.
And I say that as an American. Of course one of the tricky aspects of portraying characters who have English as a second language, is that you need to find a quality foreign actor with a good command of the English language or someone who can mimic accents well. Otherwise the accent becomes either grating or difficult to understand. It is also a much smaller talent pool you're drawing from.

Seeing as according to National Geographic, the world's most typical person is a 28-year-old Han Chinese male, I'll go ahead and second this.

I'm too insensitive to notice this for myself, but after it was pointed out to me I've been unable to avoid noticing it.

If they're going to be diverse and I'd rather they do something unusual and have a Middle-Eastern companion/LI.
We already got an Afghani LI with Tali in ME3.

And this. It's always interesting to see that most of the people who ask for these things, always say that a certin set want inclusion, but are not even a part of this group. I couldn't agree more.isnudo wrote...
As a black guy, I find actively asking for more black characters weird. I mean, if there's a black character and he's cool - good, great, wonderful, but stuffing some in there just for the sake of ticking boxes seems somehow off.

I will also second this, being an American myself. I do want more character diversity in the next game. I do admit it's kind of weird that we barely met any NPCs with Asian descent, but strangely it wasn't something I spent a lot of time thinking about. As for Jacob, he did kind of come off as a token black guy. I did like him well enough, but he just wasn't that interesting. I also go ahead and second what Julia said and say that Bioware should avoid stereotypes.
As a final note, I apologize if my first came off as racist. I'm not by any stretch of the imagination. It's just my mind went straight into "the gutter" when I first read your original post. I won't go into detail, but lets just say I have a dirty mind at times.

So because he said he is Black that means i'm white for wanting diversity. And for you information I am Black (Igbo slave descent in Trinidad) mixed Punjabi.

While I agree that the Quarian Race in general have some Middle Eastern aspects, it's not quite the same thing as having Middle Eastern characters.

I don't think he meant it as an affront to you.

2. You being a descendent of slaves matters less than the price of tea in Trinidad, but thanks for sharing. Didn't really need to know any of that about you.
Or you could keep telling me more about my thoughts; that works too.
