Nefris, Lienna and Safiya were made from aspects of the Founder's soul. That raises the question of where their physical bodies came from. Some sort of cloning perhaps? The Zhentarim Manshoon cloned himself, so it would seem to be possible in the Forgotten Realms setting.

If so, then the Founder's original body might not have been needed to bring her back (especially as it was probably damaged beyond raising in the spell backfire that killed her). Someone would still have needed to clone the body and put the Founder's soul into it though.

Perhaps it could have been a variant of the True Resurrection spell, which doesn't require a body, or even a fragment of one as the normal Resurrection spell does.

Would a clone of a mortal become immortal?
Aren't all Resurrection spells Devine spells, a priest channelling his/her God?
Would Akachi still be able to cast devine spells?

Evil DnD wizards have a habit of having simulacrums around. Maybe Akachi just infused the soul into one.

The Founder wouldn't have needed to be immortal to begin with. She certainly looked quite old in MotB, so it might have taken her decades after being resurrected to achieve. Other humans in the Forgotten Realms have managed to live for centuries without having to resort to undeath (Elminster comes to mind).

She would have had to live for centuries, I can't remember if Master Djafi said she would have to be 200 or 400 years old when he said Araman was a bit late looking for her.

But when you meet her there was no mention of how she managed it.

She's hardly likely to give away *all* her secrets. She's Thayan after all. Posted Image

Potions of Longevity are a thing in DnD. So are Wishes. I also wonder how a Heal spell would affect lifespan. It literally corrects everything wrong with a person, so the damage of disease and cell reproduction errors that accumulate with age are wiped out everytime you get Healed. I imagine that might allow for people to live a long, long time.
