I'm so excited right now because I just managed to get my second gold solo done and got the Lone Wolf! That was something I never even thought possible when I started playing this game a few days ago but man what a great community this is.

Now, apart from the fact that the AI in this game is more or less brain-dead and quite predictable and that I'm used to FPS PvP I couldn't really have done this without the help from all of you guys here at BSN. I first played this game a few times at my friend's place and I got so interested that I wanted to get my own copy of it, but being broke and unemployed made that difficult. So a few days ago some of my friends had pulled together and got me a brand new Xbox and a copy of ME3 as a present =)

During the last couple of months I've been reading a lot on BSN, the sticky thread by Dragonracer with all the links to guides, spreadsheets etc. I probably visted a hundred times. I've watched a lot of gameplay videos by people like Stardusk, Invaderone, dumdum2, caineghis, Hardcoresalmon and many more. When I finally got the game and asked for some teammates here on BSN I got almost 30 new friends on XBL within the first two days, and playing with those guys helped me out a lot because even though I thought I already knew much about this game it turned out that there's a bunch of stuff that I had no idea about. Got so many good advices on how to play the game and how to become both a good soloist as well as a team player.

I also got very very lucky with the store when buying packs at first. In one of my first packs I got the Claymore, and when I put that on my human infiltrator it made me able to solo both bronze and silver even though my first silver solo was around 45 minutes =p Then in the next couple of spectre packs that I bought I got both the Geth Trooper and the Acolyte so I got some advice from my new teammates on how to play him and sure enough, after 2x50 minutes on Giant Reapers with cryo rounds and flamer I got the banner.

I credit this to all of you here on BSN that have put the time into creating all of the vast knowledge that is here on the forum. And I especially want to thank the people who have added me and played with me so far, and I hope to see many more of you out there soon =)

Truly happy to be a part of this welcoming and friendly community =D

Congrats! It's a great feeling, isn't it? I still have that banner active, because it just felt so gratifying at the time. But it took me slightly longer, like 4 months - haha Anyway, enjoy the multiplayer and good luck with beefing your manifest.

Yeah, I can still feel my heart beating after the last extraction. Had used up all my medigels and ops packs and almost got snatched up by a Banshee because of the cover system when it was like 30 seconds left. I screamed so loud I almost believe that my neighbours called the cops =p

Yeah, I wasn't planning on doing this at all at first. Didn't think it was possible to solo silver and definately not gold, but the people I played with allowed me to get a taste of silver and when I saw that I could 1 shot most enemies with the claymore I decided to go for it. Then the same players took me to gold, and even did some gold duos with me and even though we got extraction half of the times I could never solo gold with the class I was playing. Only reason I decided to go for it this early was because I got my geth trooper and the acolyte after only 6-7 hours of gameplay, and I've seen all the videos about this combination and my friends gave me some personal advice that made me take a chance on it. It was a combination of extreme luck and helpful people =)

Could you please take your problems somewhere else? This is not  athread about you. They are teasing you exactly because you bring this up in each and every thread you post in.

OP congrats for the banner! This is one of the most difficult banners to get, the rest should be easy!

Thanks, don't think I will even try Platinum for a long time though, I would get slaughtered =p

Lol, I can't keep track of what is on the different waves, so why is wave 8 such a pain? =p

Agreed! And the things I've been called and the hatemails I've got while playing CoD for so many years kinda gives some perspective =)

Don't be put off, I find the vast majority of people on this game are friendly, and genuine questions get helpful answers from all but a few individuals. 

Naturally, those who (trolling or otherwise) post with a "cower brief mortals for I am your God" attitude, and send nasty messages on xbl tend to get tarred and feathered. BSN seems good at that.

Good job on the solos anyway. That might be a record for fewest hours played. Anyone know differently?

@OP - congrats on the Lone Wolf banner... just never wear it in PuGs

That was one of the 2 banners I really hated getting but I felt I had to sort of chalk it off... I find soling tedious and I've got all my kits set up pretty much how I like them so I don't like promoting - yeah, N7 Mastery was the only banner worse than Lone Wolf for me.
