Recently, I had the desire to go back and face an old challenge presented to me quite some time ago.  Back in late 2012 one of my buddies, SlimJim, challenged me to solo platinum using the Eagle.  I chose the TSol and took on the Collectors on Giant to minimize phantoms.  

I thought it would be interesting to see how much better of a time I could achieve now vs then and made a pretty substantial improvement.  I also decided to take the GPS for wave 9 and appreciated having it for the phantom crowd control when needed.   Ended up getting gunned down on extraction, but got the mission successful so I was happy enough.   All of this is to say, I recommend thinking about redoing old challenges that may have done in the past.  I found plenty of enjoyment out of doing it myself

TSol/Eagle vs. Collectors


Also, I have meant to do a Human Adept platinum solo given that the adept class is how I first played Mass Effect many years ago.  It has always been my favorite and continues to this day.  Decided to take on Cerberus on White.
This was the most fun I have had during a solo in all of my runs.

I've watched a good half of the vid, couple times over. Once I get a good peek at those problem waves I'll tackle it again myself.

After that I wanna try either Phoenix Vanguard or N7 Slayer.

It was.  After my first QFI/Black Widow solo, you said it needed more Eagle and laid forth the challenge.

I was planning on doing one anyway, but you were the push that made me finally go for it.  Maybe I need to challenge you to see what you could do.  That or you could start doing Prestacious' challenges and stop being a scrub.

I think I can revisit the first plat solo I did back in august 2012. I used the GI & pre nerfed piranha vs Reapers on Giant. I never actually extracted because of a primes after death body blocking me. Still got mission successful though. Revisiting old solos sounds refreshing.

It was refreshing.  Gave me a bit of nostalgia and allowed me to compare my gameplay from then to now.  getting the time down so much from then to now was a good feeling too.

Very nicely done! For some unfathomable reason, it inspires me to try one next time I can log on. Not sure I have the patience required though. Anyway, great job.

oh crap yeah.. on the attempt before I finished my AA plat solo vs cereberus wave 9, 4 gels & 3 ops packs left and on a routine kite a cloaked phantom who must have been sitting there for quite some time insta kills me from behind as I was sprinting past, I had no chance... she must have been studying my habits since wave one

I need to get my Xbox hard wired, I think. Can there be lag on host on a wireless signal? I get a few Phantoms that I'm past a good bit pull me backwards into a sync kill.

Not really. As host, everything is happening locally. The magnet feeling seems to be more of an issue with the unreal engine to me than anything else.
