Depends on the settings and others -- I had a particularly high-scoring Bronze round as the Demolisher + Grenade Cap IV against Geth on White, IIRC, where none of my teammates used grenades so I could pretty much lob arc grenades at every spawn while making a tour of boxes.  Just under 81K, IIRC, which is a score I can't yet claim to have reached on silver.   Have also seen flamers do pretty well on Glacier.

 

But if you're going U/U/B, a Vanguard is probably indeed your best bet for score-wh0ring w/o consumables.  You might always draw a map with longer sight lines and more walking and climbing required.  Been completely pointless as a Krogan Warlord because almost everything's dead before I can get in hammer range, and if I'm not going to be able to use the hammer I might as well have chosen a different class.

 

As for the thread topic... I dislike playing Krogan (although granted, I don't have the Kroguard yet) for their (lack of) speed and how much their bulk blocks my line of sight c/o the obnoxious camera positioning, can't stand Hunter Mode's overlay, and find Turians somewhat uninteresting.  TGI Harrier is a stronger kit than a Volus Adept with a suppressed pistol, but I genuinely enjoyed the latter more than the former.

 

Yeah, if you're willing to spend some thermal clip packs, Arc Grenades can destroy Bronze.  Still, unless you're playing Geth or you're on Glacier, the Asari Vanguard can get to the spawn across the map and Lift Grenade them to death before you can get in grenade range with the Demolisher.

 

I once scored over 130k in a Silver/Cerberus game with the Slayer (with no consumables except Disruptor II, I think).  I haven't come close to that with any other class, and I consider that more impressive than any score I've put up on Gold (I think my highest is around 190k).

I die more playing the Juggernaut than I do with any other kit.  It's a gift.

 

Me too.  I'm just horrible with the Jugg.  My worst class by FAR.  I always put myself in the same positions that I would if I were playing a more mobile class where I know I can get out if the s*** hits the fan.  And then it does, and I can't get out.  And the thing is, I'll never get better.  Because I hate using him so much that I'll never practice enough to get good.

Well, yeah.  But on Bronze and Silver, it's just not possible for weapons to out-kill a good player who is spamming Arc Grenades (except maybe for a Venom because AOE).  On Gold/Plat, it is possible, and it happens all the time.

Have you tried Adrenaline, a lighter weapon (Lancer e.g.) with incendiary and using siege pulse to blow up all the stuff? Works well in maps that isn't too open or with coordinated teams. I like it best against Cerberus and works like a charm with somebody casting Snap Freeze.

That's exactly how I run the Jugg.  I just suck with him.  I have serious problems with all of the characters that can't dodge (I do ok with the Batsol but he's about it).

I guess it's the change of pace, then. Instead of dodge you could use the hexshield.

 

And to overcome the dislike: Try out the heavy melee. But don't just melee them to death. Drain the shields and then drop them to the floor. Watch them struggle getting up. Shoot them or humiliate further with the Housecleaner Pulse. +1 if they are primed while crawling on the floor.

 

It appeals to some weird sense of fun but I confess: This is the thing I'm looking forward to when I pick the Juggy.

Not a multiplayer confession but.....My Chrismas tree is still up and I believe it's a battle of wills now with my Wife as to who is going to take it down.

I got kicked from a lobby once after doing this in one of the last challenges that could be done on bronze. It was gross.

I may try that.  I just hate moving so slowly though.  I can't even stand to use Krogan without an Adrenaline Mod.  Don't get me wrong - I love using Krogan, but only with Adrenaline.

I have one last confession and that's I sometimes go into matches with odd combinations of weapons for my character, just because I'm chasing challenge points. I like to think that doesn't make me a bad person.

Ah, that explains the Indra/Harrier combo in the other thread.

 

My ME3 confession is that the Drell Vanguard is one of 3 characters I have yet to complete 200 waves with.  The other 2 are Voluseses (Merc and Vanguard), but that doesn't bother me quite the same.  I hover over the Drell when I'm changing characters, but invariably chicken out.  I rarely host, so that's part of it, but I think it's more to do with having been in matches with both TMB and Cato using him to his full potential! Instead of thinking 'wow, I must give the DrellGuard a go', I seem to have reacted in the opposite way.  I've completed Outsider Mastery twice, but it's definitely the only one of the squad challenges that feels like a chore to me.

 

My only other incomplete challenges are platinum map waves and the Shuriken - used it once.  Never, ever again.
