What are some concerns you have for DA:I?

I agree the writing wasn't the best but someone pulled through for the Arishok, has some of my favorite quotes in the franchise so far (as you can see below)Tak of the Archives wrote...
Writing, writing, writing... DA 2 had pretty much the worst dialogue and story in a game that I have ever had the misfortune to play. Hopefully the writing won't be as abysmal. I cringed every time I had to choose between the 3 different dialogue options.

I'm sure the game will have its flaws, but since I loved the first two games, I see no reason to think I won't love the third one as well.

Minor concern: Can they flesh out all the gamebraking bugs and other major common bugs before launch?

Nobody is saying the MvT war will be 'minor'. But it'll not be the central plot of the game. It'll be one of the main quests, most likely. And considering that the poster you quoted wants to be a leader of the mages/templars, and not part of an external organization involved in the war, she'll definitely not going to be satisfied with it (even more if the war will not end as I suspect). She wants the game to be around the MvT war, not around another plot.Sentinel358 wrote...

I'm sorry, what? If you hated Dragon Age 2, then why add it to your list of registered games? Because you feel some sort of accomplishment by having more rather than less?
The big thing with DA2 is, it fails compared to its predecessor. On its own it might have been a solid entry.
Additionally, for perfect playtroughs, you need perfect imports, which are only granted when you play the game(s).

This seems a tad extreme. I mean it's not material that would make Francis Ford Coppola want to have a million of its babies, but I never found either the dialogue or story to be some neverending gauntlet of schlock that assaulted the senses either. Heck, I found myself shaking my head more at some of the more critical points in ME2's plotting and dialogue than in this game, to the point where I would actually rank both lower when it comes to putting it under serious scrutiny.

And that multiplayer, if there is any, will just feel like a last minute tacked on addition just for the sake of having it.

That there won't be "that one" LI with whom I really fall in love. That was the problem in DA:O and ME; fortunately, ME was such a great and unique story that I didn't mind the lack of a "soulmate" for my character, so to speak, but DA:O was not particularly unique in terms of storytelling, so there wasn't much for me to connect with emotionally.
That they still won't give us good hair choices. The hair in the trailer STILL locked blocky and helmet-like. But, again, pre-alpha.
But overall I'm really excited about the game (of course) and if there's one thing I know the DA team will never let me down in, it's the writing. I so admire the writing team and know they will deliver something excellent.

Red Templars. Why can't villains be 'normal' templars? I don't see why your basic templars could not fill the role of the badguys. Using the super duper evil red lyrium as a scapecoat is so lame. Loghain filled the role in Origins perfectly and he was a regular guy.
Maybe because Bioware knows that making the Templars in-general badguys would be even worse and unfair to others

Because the point of the Mage templar conflict is that different players see the issue in conflicting ways, some people think the templars are right and that the mages need to be looked over, others think mages deserve equality. If you just made Templars the "Bad guys" that would ruin the entire concept of the issueUkki wrote...

I wouldn't judge this decision too harshly until we get a better idea of what the red templars are like. Meredith, for example, was also a lyrium-addled templar, but at the same time did have a backstory that made you understand her position more.

So, that being said, here they are.
- The ending. Will it truly be different based on decisions I made? Will it make sense or have to be patched after people start complaining? Will I have closure? Ok, I know this is a different team. I'm sure the furor over the Mass Effect 3 ending has a place in a "lesson's learned" discussion for Bioware. Though I'm not trying to belabor the issue, I do have a legitimate concern as to how this will turn out. Call it an annoying voice the back of my head that trolls me...
- Integration of decisions related to the previous games and how dramatic of an effect this will have on how one playthru feels as opposed to a different playthru. This is just an inherent concern for any game that boasts such capability. And while Bioware is very adept at implementing this, the concern still lingers because of the inherent risks.
- Too big for it's britches: Will the scope and scale of the game prove too much for the story? Here's what I mean: Look at recent reviews of LRFFXIII. My overwhelming impression is that Square overcorrected with going "open world" that it forgot that the bigger the world you create, the more MEANINGFUL content you have to put in it. Fetch quests as filler is a damnable offense in these parts.
- Files transfers. the Keep is a great idea, but what I loved about the ME trilogy is that you miss the little charming things that come from playing the trilogy as opposed to using an interactive comic to capture that major decisions. Also, without having this mechanism, it sort of makes the other two games pointless. Ticking some boxes and "recreating" the decisions from the previous games synthetically doesn't carry the same sense of permanence and continuity as having these changes organically impacting the third game.
- Collector Editions: Please make this worthwhile. Do not pad this with content that will be available to everyone at some later date via Xbox Live, PSN, Origin, the Bioware Store, etc. No useless fabric patches (LOL). I want to feel special. Give me an exclusive piece of armor. An exclusive weapon, etc. But please...PLEASE do not make it retailer specific.

-Auto-dialogue
-An ill voiced protagonist
-Heavily ME series influence
-Heavily BSN influence
-Heavily dating sim influence
-A lot of empty spaces for the sake of it
-A bad ending (as in plot-holes)
-Slow transportation
-Online focus mechanics (as in MP, DRM, etc)
-Static world
-Choices mattering
-Armor set design
-Character customization
-FedEx quests
-A generic story
-Hack n slash combot/button mashing
-A poorly delivered plot twist

That the inquisitor will lack a real personality. I know the demo was pre-alpha, but the tonelessness of the inquisitor's voice still really worries me.
This is exactly my concern. I trust BioWare enough to write an interesting enough story, and even throw in some interesting romance content, but I've been spoiled by both the Warden and Hawke and hope that they can keep going with entertaining ways to control the PC.

Biggest concern is a lack of consequences for the Dark Ritual.
I imagine you're in for disappointment then, since there's no way it can play such a significant role unless the storyline is fixed in such a way that the dark ritual happens regardless of what you did in DA:O.
I smell a retcon my friend, they are making a big deal about the dark ritual (hell, they even made a dlc about it)
Or have you forgot about leliana?
