you're aware of the problem, but have no incentive to bother fixing it. if this game was an mmo, something like this would be fixed same day, because everyone would notice and outrage. but since this isn't an mmo, only a few people notice it, thus you have very little reason to get off your ass and have someone focus on fixing it.

Hi all - we have a bug to look into this, but I can't speak to any sort of ETA on getting it looked at or fixed, especially since the error could be tied to a number of systems out of our direct control.

 

We are aware of the problem, but that's about all I can say right now, other than that I don't know of any plans to kill these servers; this is a bug / problem, not tied to retiring the old BSN or similar legacy content.

This appears in my profile diagnostic, I also can't upload new characters because of it. Any way to fix this?

It was taken down two weeks, maybe three weeks ago, and has remained that way; no one I've seen discuss it anywhere has claimed to have any idea why it's been offline so long or when / if it will ever be back online.

Apparently, the answer will be "never".  BSN's original site has become "Legacy the Second" today.

The really odd part of all this is that some things are still be successfully uploaded to the site.  

 

I've been unable to remove an old character but the achievment progress of the character I'm currently playing (which isn't visible on the site) is showing up. 

 

So it sounds like the info is all still getting up there if it isn't able to be manipulated through the site.  I'm not going to hold my breath for a fix but maybe they are going to migrate everything over to the new "Keep" site at some point.

 

 

 

So Brian, confirm/deny the above? Any further word on the bug?

Here's to hoping that the "Storage Server" will be back online eventually. I just got a new copy of both DA:O and DA 2 and would really like to be able to properly sync my profiles.

I actually contacted EA Customer Service about this early last week. I didn't get any answers, but the person I talked to said he would pass the issue along to his supervisor (who knows if he actually did). I hope to hear something about a fix, but I'm not holding my breath.

As Brian mentioned before, we're aware and have a task for this.  There's no plan to turn off DAO servers or anything like that, and once addressed this should go back to working as intended.

My PC profile hasn't updated since 2011.

I wonder if it is because of conflict between Steam and Origin, which both seem to claim ownership of the game.

Which is weird as I installed it from disc.

Don't the new ones take upwards of at least (about) an hour to show up? Could've sworn there was always a hefty wait time for new toons.

Yeah, I've been able to delete my old characters as well. My new ones aren't uploaded, yet, but I guess I have to start the game for it to do that. But at least it's good to be rid of the old stuff.

Really strange … I saved a game nearly 12 hours ago, also took a screenshot and uploaded it to simply see the effects in my profile. Neither in my screenshots nor in my profile did change anything–but in my profile diagnostics I do have the newly saved char and the screen (and would be able to delete them).

In addition, if I call my online profile out of DA:O it links to my site but can't open the profile–says, "Profile not found. The requested player does not have any Dragon Age data uploaded.", but with a button below, that then links to my profile. Happens with either IE11 and Firefox.

Another question: There once was a time when one could set a status message on the profile. Mine now has three years of age… Am I only to blind to find or is this feature disabled? Why then let the status remaining?

on the top of the page of these forums next to to your name and picture is a drop down menu with a input field of "whats on your mind"

Are they ever going to address this issue? It has been this way for months now. They have said that they are looking into it, but that was back in Feb. I'm trying to get set up for DA3. Get my "World History" in place for the back story. My new trophies are being added as I earn them, but not the new character or his data. Can someone give us some feed back?
