So I saw an article on ign about Greg millers top 10 favorite games of all time and it got me thinking about mine. So wha'ts yours? Now by favorite games, I do not neccesarily mean "greatest" games. For example, I regaurd Skyrim, Uncharted 2, and Red Dead Redemption among the greatest games ever made. But they aren't my 10 favorites. Here's my ten.

-Counter Strike 1.6-Greatest competitive FPS ever. Easily. Amazing. I've probably put in 5,000 or so hours in the Counterstike series, but I think 1.6 is the best.

-KOTOR. Not much else needs to be said about this masterpiece. One of the best RPG's ever made.

-Battlefield 2- This started my "love affair" with the Battlefield series. Now 2142 was inovative and so originial. But BF2 is the greatest BF game ever... Although, it's not my favorite BF game. More on that later.

-Mass Effect 2. My favorite Single player game of all time. Nuff said.

-Halo 2. The best Halo MP bar none. The countless hours I spent online was crazy. Good times.

-Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence. Not Snake Eater. They are the "same game" in terms of storytelling and basic mechanic. Accept Subsitence had an awesome MP and controlable camera. I love Metal Gear Solid series, but my favorite is MGS 3. It had the best boss fights, it had the best stealth system, best challenge and it was so epically cheezy.

Half Life 2- Just amazing. So amazing. This game was Sooooo Hyped. And it delivered and exceeded every expectation. I still play it today and it is still great. And it gave us Source.... Amazing.

-Grand Theft Auto 3. I was 11 when this bad boy came out. It was such a hot topic that I had to sneak to my Best buds pad to play it... And play it I did. GTA3 was hillariously entertaining. And now.... I have it on my phone, lol. Good times.

-Battlefield Bad company 2- This is my favorite MP only FPS ever. I love this game. It was goofy, it was rewarding, it still took a decent amount of skill to be good at. And it was.... FUN. Something that Dice has gotten away from lately. But this game is amazingly stupid fun and awesome to play with pals.

- Resident Evil 4. So lets put it this way. I bought the port for RE4 on PS2. Played it 3 times through on normal and once on profesional and sunk about 50 or so hours on the mercenary mode. But... Wasn't done yet. The very first game I got when I got my wii!!!! was.... RE4. Played it through once on normal and professional, lol. But, but wait. So then a few years later. Saw the "HD" remake on PSN. Bought it again played it twice more..... Now I'm gonna buy the "Ultra HD" version for PC in a few weeks..... lulz... You're welcome capcom.

So there's mine. What's yours.

10) Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden. A Love letter to jRPGs and Space Jam, it's unmissable for those with a sense of humor and a hunger for some retro entertainment. And it's free.

9) Super Metroid. Atmosphere/Cool Bosses/Yadda Yadda, you've probably heard it already.

8) Mass Effect. No one at that point had really done that sort of combat system before - I believe one developer described it as "Fallout 3 Meets Rainbox Six Vegas", and it was very refreshing to me. It looked fantastic as an early Xbox 360 game and the planetary exploration was very memorable. It had relatively realistic writing/dialogue(though the cheeseball will always be there), compared to the RPGs I'd played in the past.

7) Valkyrie Profile. A bizarre mission structure, a strong female protagonist with a strange past, and a wicked cool battle system made it a pleasant surprise.

6) Dance Dance Revolution. It was the beginning of my Music Fanaticism(Parappa/UmJammer/BaG didn't quite reach it). Simple to Learn, hard to master, and absorbed countless quarters/hours of time.

5) DJ Hero. An innovation that took IIDX and brought a fresh taste of realism. As opposed to GH/RB, you'll be hearing revisioned music rather than the original versions taken from the masters. The mechanic is slick and challenging. It's hardly perfect(The guitar hero remixes blew the big one), but it was a damned great ride to me.

4) Dark Souls. I normally avoid overly difficult games, but Dark Souls managed to make it feel appropriately difficult. A bit like Shadow of the Colossus, it feels like you're discovering a forbidden land in decay, piece by piece. The storyline is minimal or lore-crazy, depending on how far you look into it. It's got some of the most memorable boss fights of all time, which I'm also partial to. *Points to Avatar*

3) Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. Seductive atmosphere, Deus Ex-style gameplay with the same stellar writing/C&C that troika managed with Arcanum.

2) Megaman X. As much as I respect the original Mega Man, X offered a better level of control and flexibility in the character and just plain looked better. The soundtrack was pretty damned slick with more of a Techno-Rock thing going on. Plus, Hadoukens.

1) Rock Band. It was a game that managed to encapsulate my favorite games from Yesteryear(Guitar Freaks, Drummania) into a console game with a legitimately fulfilling campaign and handy RPG elements. To date, I've probably played 2000+ hours between the 3 Rock Bands plus the Beatles/Green Day titles.

1. Persona 4 Golden - All other RPGs were ruined after playing this.  My absolute favorite.

2. The Last of Us - Best serious game ever made period.

3. Red Dead Redemption - Never a fan of GTA, but this game was amazing.

4. Dark Souls - Great world, great story, unforgiving gameplay. Perfect.

5. Shadow of the Colossus - A must play for everyone.

6. Half-Life 2 - Can't wait for HL3...its coming out right? Right? *dies waiting*

7. Journey - Yup.

8. Catherine - This game...my god, go play it.

9. Halo 4 - The perfect conclusion to a series I grew up with.

10. Mass Effect - The one that started it all.

Its a great game.  It actually looks pretty good too if you get the HD Collection with ICO.

So.... You like Mass Effect and Halo I take it... ;)

Me too, lol.

Turian, your top 10 is basically my top 10. Although I'd take Halo 2 out, put in Halo 4-that's the best one bro, top to bottom. Then I'd take out MGS3 out and put in COD 4 MW-admit it bro, we played that game for days, COD4MW was the only COD MP worth the sh!t. Also, take out Bad Company 2, put in BF3... I know you played lame console version, but I steped up to PC master race version of BF3... A.M.A.Z.I.N.G

Can't believe you didn't put Uncharted 2 in their. You love all those overated games by NaughtDerp ;)

Hahaha, Halo 4 best ever..... DUDE!!! Stop it. Halo 4: Modern Battlefield of War. That's all I gotta say about that one. Halo 4 is a GREAT game, hell it's probably the best game I played in 2012.. But it ain't no Halo 2. Nuff said.

And I will argue BFBC2 is better than BF3 any day of the week. I think you're just easily entertained by purrdy graphics and stuff. But dude, look at how Derpfest BF3 is... Suppression of the charts M16A3 GOD GUN. C'mon now, BF3 is great but it's goofy as hell.

And are you trolling me with COD being on the list other than MGS3??? Hahaha, is that joke. How can you put COD and MGS4 in the same sentence. I mean it's COD....

Although I'll admitt it. MW1 is a great game. The last great COD game. That's all you're getting out of me on that one.

And Uncharted is a great series. And naughty dog is top 5 devs in the bizz. Although, I'll admit it, Uncharted 3 isn't as great as Uncharted 2 and Last of Us is overated, but they're still Great games and top games of this gen.

No particular order, just numbering them so I'll know when I hit ten.

10. Chrono Cross - Chrono Trigger as well, but Chrono Cross wins out for having one of my favorite soundtracks and what I felt was more replay value.

9. Suikoden II - my favorite RPG. Period.

8. Silent Hill 3 - When a game makes you feel like your heart's been ripped out about a quarter of the way in, you know they've done something right.

7. Secret of Mana - the beginning of a looooong list of games that kills off my favorite character pointlessly, but even the downer ending couldn't stop me from playing it again and again and again....

6. Gladius - *scarab noise*

5. Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn - Radiant Dawn would have been my ideal game had it kept in support conversations. It's just in that difficulty sweet spot - no cheating AI, but if you make a mistake, you pay for it, permanently. Unless you reload.

4. A tie between 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors and Corpse Party - they both kept me awake until 3 AM multiple times because I had to know what happened next. Corpse Party was a little slow to pick up, but it does. It certainly does.

3. Dragon's Dogma - I may have hit high triple-digit hours with this one. I'm actually afraid to check.

2. Final Fantasy IV - I've got pretty much every re-release of this, I even got The After Years, which I forgot about until this very second. I really should get around to that.

1. Dark Souls - can't beat a game where you can obliterate a huge iron golem while dressed like a pile of onions.

Yeah, I left out too many. Ten's not enough.

Those great games would be on my honorable mention list, especially the masterpiece of Colonial Marines. Also Derpafield 4 is top of the tops baby. No issues. Pefectly pollished game, so sharp and responsive. Good stuff.

Girl, I'm sure you're at quadruple digits. I know I am, and I haven't played in a while. Image IPB

So my top 10 list...hmm...ok, in no particular order:

Gladius
Dragon's Dogma/Dark Arisen
Skyrim
Fallout 3
Fallout New Vegas
Overlord: Raising Hell
Valkyria Chronicles
Demon's Souls
Borderlands 1/2
Persona 3/4

Somewhere in there would also be Riven. The old school feels.

I'm forgetting a ton, I just know it.

I can't wait for my "Premium" netcode Battlepack, or the Battlefield 4: EA Servers Edition, that comes with all shortcut buddles, all maps, all netcode Battlepacks, purchased ranks and a pre-ordered KDR of 2.0. All for 50 bucks. It's coming...... Soon.

I feel very "appreciated" by EA/dice bro. Don't you?? They really appreciate us bro. They gave us such a great and pollished game just like they told us they would. I feel really appreciated.
