I have one major question for the career transfer that I have seen many different magazines and interviews touch on but have yet to have satisfactorally answered for me.
I played through ME1 and finished the game, then Bioware put out DLC and I did new game plus so I could use it and keep my character. Do I have to finish the game again and make all new decisions in order to transfer over a completed game? Or can I transfer over my information from the first time I beat the game?

If you still have a save file of the 1st playtrough, load it, repeat the ending and I think you should have no problems transfering it to ME2. Though, your Shepard's level will be lower than in the 2nd playthrough.

OP - Yes. Every time you finish the game, a file is made that can be used for NewGame+, or to import into ME2. The file you used to start your second game would be the same file you use to start ME2, or you could finish the second playthrough, get a second file, and use that one, but you can't use a regular halfway-through-the-game save.

Is there a big difference between a gamesave at lvl 55(1 complete run) & lvl 60 (second run) my cash and inventory in the 1st run of ME1 is already maxed out.

you may have made slightly different choices. I can't remember what I did in my last play through so am going through again at warp speed to get the choices fresh in my head.

YES! (sell/convert some of your "stuff" to reduce your inventory, do not worry about $9,999,999 etc). What you ARE aiming for is all 12 levels of Charm/Renegade conversation. Level 60 gives MORE benefits when importing to ME2, I suspect the same when ME3 comes out.

I've played through the ME2 three times now. I would like to reload from the end of game 2. Is there a way to do that? I sure can't figure it out. Unfortunately, I did not change the name of my Shepherd.

Saves are Date/Time stamped, that should help you figure out which is which.
