This is sort of an appreciation thread for those secondary characters that fill you with little more than hatred and make you wish you could off them, or simply revel in doing so. I'm hoping that DA:I introduces us to some other character or characters that fills me with that same brand of hatred, and gives us just as much an opportunity to give them the grizzly deaths they beg for.

Some of my favorites:

I really love this one because of his connection to the human noble background. It makes the final dialogue with him a bit sweeter in its resolution.

Killing this guy is like Christmas for the city elf.

It's like killing the gestapo.

I was sorely disappointed that a random qunari took this one away. Petrice was begging for it almost as much as this guy:

Who deserved the murderknife for his haircut alone.

The fact that you couldn't kill a whole host of qunari after Petrice got killed was the great injustice. Petrice was a doer, a hero of the chantry and should have a place of honor as a defender. Where all others stood by and did nothing, letting a disease settle into Kirkwall she acted and bravely gave her life for the greater good.

And yet I can't help but feel a particular glee when she got an arrow to the forehead.

There is that one particular fan comic that represents my reaction perfectly, but alas, it evades my google senses for now.

I agree killing the ones you listed was nice. For me, while I realize he was a hero in the past, Logain was nice to kill. I just don't take being hunted well plus I wanted to rip his tongue out the moment he said he feels for the elfs after selling them into slavery.

I got a kick out of killing the bandits in awakening as well after convincing them to let the girl free.

Duke Prosper's death was quite amusing and I was happy to see Meredith die screaming.

Sister Petrice was a vile vile woman. If she survives the 2nd act, she hints that there's a conspiracy of like-minded individuals within the Chantry. I wonder if we'll discover more about that in future games.

Alistair's reaction after sparing Loghain, and being told he's gonna be executed was pretty hilarious.

This guy is the worst. Smug ****er doesn't even have an upper lip. I would have murdered him and Petrice so hard in that hovel if it weren't for PLOT.

I was thinking of Loghain, but despite the terrible things that he did, there was a lack of insidiousness that Howe possessed that made him much less of a character I love to hate.

Duke Prosper was a riot, and I enjoyed Varric's comments when he plummets to his death. I actually felt a little sorry for Meredith.

There is that wounded soldier in the Korcari Wilds. I just love watching Jory's reaction every time I slit that man's throat.

And Branka. Very much Branka.

And that dwarven scout that betrays me in the dwarven noble origin.

Simply misunderstood.  A lot of the same people that condemn the mother superior for doing nothing condemn Petrice for doing something.  Petrice saved poor Ketojin (albeit with a political motive) and gets ground down for it.  she was also proven to be correct in her actuions towards the Qunari.  If only they had listened to her....poor gal.

Howe is indeed a nice candidate for this. I always equip the Cousland family sword before fighting him.
Also, Bhelen. Very very VERY hateable.
And after playing Leliana's song, it felt so very rewarding to kill Marjolaine.
Finally the Arishok, that self-righteous bastard.

I did this as well. I had the Keening Blade and Starfang in my inventory, but I felt it only fitting to sacrifice the stats for the dramatic effect. If you use weapon and shield it's nice to use the Cousland shield as well.

I couldn't stand the Viscount's son and his glorification of the Qunari. He reminded me a lot of this guy. And +1 in defense of Sister Petrice.

 Love to kill:

-- Feynriel's slaver. My rogue FemHawke had the option to throw the murder-knife into his jugular, courtesy aggressive personality ... which is awesome. I literally made a save before and after that scene just so I could rewatch a few times.

I also love the ensuing dialogue with Feynriel where he calls you out on it, and Hawke takes the "direct" response.

-- The First (from DA:A). He was just really goofy and childish from start to finish.

-- Merrill (or "Terribl," as call her). Someone who legitimate buys the idea of priests blowing up (Varric's joke) is basically a retard, but I'm stuck with her because plot. Ironically, the only time she becomes likeable (even desirable) to me is when she's angry and stands up for her beliefs, as it's the only time she ever acts mature. So her character dies with some semblance of respectability on my "other" DA2 career. I only put up with her on my main run because I like/support her cause.

Nice to know you have those sorts of options depending on the personality. I never knew you could sling a murderknife at the slaver.

I always figured about half of Merrill's naivety was really just a dry sense of humor.

Petrice. Petrice. And more Petrice. Nobody else in a Dragon Age game has ever roused such unholy fury in me like Petrice.

Besides the obvious ones, I am surprised no one mentioned Tallis. Not being able to end her Qunari preaching when she deceived you was a bit of a slap in the face.

That's sort of what I love about her character. She has her reasons, but they don't matter. Her death is its own reward.
