Velanna.
I don't recall her showing that much cleavage though.

But Merrill is so awesome!
The only reason I don't off her is because I headacanon her as being equal to a retard when comes to matters outside of magic.
It just wouldn't be the same as killing a capable person.

Either she's pants on-head-retarded, or she's the kind of person who lets someone get mugged without stepping in, doesn't care about costing a friend (Varric) tons of money because she wants to frolic around the streets alone at night, intentionally messes up her friend's plan to get into a warehouse without killing people ("but there's not REALLY a fire is there? Hurdur"), etc...
Sums my view on her pretty nicely.

No votes for Isolde? I'm shocked. Her voice alone is reason enough to let Jowan perform the ritual.
We all can't have the voice of Mr.Freeman.

I was all for hating that voice, but I still feel like she redeemed herself by sacrificing her life for her son.

We usually are on the same page regarding a few things; Not surprising this is yet another one.

1. Ser Karras, this guy was scum of the earth.
2. Ser Alrik, ditto.
3. Petrice's templar; I forget his name, but the way he slaughtered those qunari men, UGH!
4. although I haven't played Origins much, the guy who tried to rape my Warden's cousin
5. Loghain, he supposedly has this "amazing" backstory, but what's presented to us in Origins is a guy who allows his king and the Grey Wardens to be slaughtered, and who then tries to use his daughter to power play his way onto the throne. Double ugh.
6. The sicko who kills Hawke's mom.
Hmm, I think that's it

He could read the phone book and make it sound interesting. Just listen to that rich molasses...

I always figured about half of Merrill's naivety was really just a dry sense of humor.
I'm no Merrill fan - far from it - but I think this might have been a case of "too much of a good thing..."
I think the writers were going for fish out of water. She had never interacted with humans before, never been in a city, had grown up traveling with the clan, and struggled to adapt to the changes. She was naive because she was ignorant of human society.
JMHO.

I'm a Merrill fan and I agree with this. Her first contact with a human was potentially Duncan and she thought there was a squirrel attached to his face.

Please, it's natural to want to murder Isolde in every way possible.

You'd think that because of my user name, I would hate Vaughan, but I don't. If there is anyone, I think it would be Arl Howe, and only Arl Howe. When he's dying and going on about how he deserved more, it kinda pleases me that he's dead. No one "deserves" power.

My second time through, I was really trying to see if there was a Murderknife option I missed. Petrice was annoying, but I found her (and her story arc) interesting at least. Grace feels like another character that was a b*tch no matter your choice due to needing another fight. I wanted to get rid of her before she became a problem.

And Isolde who is very VERY annoying, though I never let her die.. which takes quite a bit of restraint.

Fenris sticking his hand through his chest and snapping that SOB's spine in half is one of the most satisfying moments in the entire franchise.

It would've been better if after that Fenris and Hawke take turns stamping on his face multiple times until he resembled a Broodmother's butt at a certain time of month. >
