Interesting. I guess I missed something or didn't have a high enough score to get her to stand down peacefully.

Yes, your persuade score has to be pretty high to make her stand down...but her blind allegiance to Loghain always grates on my nerves.

This is odd. I have max coercion, but I'm assuming that the cunning score factors into this, though answers seem to be all over the place upon searching.

That one is bugged. It checks for your Poison skill.

Only sometimes, considering I got it with no points in Poison.

iirc it's only a bug on consoles, not PC.

Well that sucks. Poison making is such a waste of points.

I'm on the Xbox. Maybe they patched it a while ago.

I've played DA2 recently for the first time in over a year and I'd forgotten just what a b***h Grace is. When I saw her in the gallows in act 2 and she said something along the lines of " yes we were caught, what do you expect when we had only moments head start and no supplies?" I wish I could have murder knifed her there and then. It's not my fault you had no supplies and if you're stupid enough to go straight to where varric had persuaded the Templars to head you deserve what you get.

Wait, what?

You can save her clan no matter if you're a rival or a friend. Just accept responsibility for the Keeper's death and you can walk out of there.

You can also do what I do and never talk to her or do her quests. I assume the clan is still alive in such a case.

Eh, I just use intimidation on her. No need to waste points on poison

My Dwarf Noble Warden-Commander loved to kill Utha. That traitor left the Silent Sisters, then the Grey Wardens, only to side the Architect! Argh!!

She can at the landsmeet, cannot in Howe's estate.

I never knew this. I allways kill her in the estate. Annoying biatch thinks she can match my Warden.

Is it strange that I want to push Petrice up against the wall and do to her all sorts of things that the Maker forbids?

Just so that I can hear all the names she would call me.

Never thought of her like that but yeah, I would like to bang Patrice. She has that "Forbidden" Chantry sister thing I saw in  Leliana.<3

Man I really disliked her as well. I came up with a pretty easy way to beat her at the estate but it took me many reloads to work it out. I had more statifaction defeating her than I did the arch-demon lol

(Just to make sure, she is the woman that tries to put you in prison right?)

Warden:  I don't think that's wise.  Many will try to exploit this discovery.
(companions agree)

Brother Genetivi: But the urn belongs to all the faithful!  We must share it, whether you like it or not.

Warden: I don't think so.

Genetivi gives a look that says "Man, ***** please.", turns and casually walks out.  Then the Warden throws the murder knife with pinpoint accuracy as it flies into the back of Genetivi's head, and the most hilarious scene in the game continues, as he turns to look at the Warden again before falling.

I had no intention of killing him, but he was being stupid, so he made me angry.

You have to give Genitivi credit though. He had the wherewithal to turn around and give the Warden one last look while a dagger was embedded in the back of his skull.

That scene sounded hilarious but Brother Genetivi is a beast scholar. Killing him is unthinkable.

I love Genetivi (he's like DA's version of Volo,) but I might have to load a save from that point to see that outcome. :D

Edit: Oh and your Warden is right.  We see as such early in Act 1 of DA2, when you have to kill some thugs with fake ashes.   I always thought that was a nice intro to Lowtown:

NPC: "Sacred ashes, verfied by Genetivi!"
Me: Yeah sure. So, when is the quest popping up?
NPC: "My cough is gone!"
Me: Ah, there's the exclaimation point.  Somehow, I knew this was gonna happen.

See, my problem with the Brother's plan is... Well, Alistair put it best.  Paraphrasing from memory here: "So, everyone stops by and takes a pinch of the ashes?  Gee, I hope that urn is self-replenishing."

On my super nice guy playthrough, I took a different approach.  I left the dragon alive and allowed Genitivi to live.  This choice was based on epilogue metagaming.

I love to hate this guy, but I usually don't kill him. He is the best leader, but he still met my Castless' murderknife a few times.

Right. The easy way to beat her, if I remember, is to run down the hall to the guard room, wait for her to come in, and shut the door. Her flunkies will knock politely while you kill her, and then you can easily mop up.

If you haven't let her take you to jail, though, you should really try that out. Be sure you have Alistair in the party with you, break out of jail, and con your way out of the keep. It's hilarious. Also, your companions are hilarious as they try to BS their way in to rescue you. That jailbreak is worth replaying at least 4 or 5 times to see different possibilities.

Vaughan. I only wish we could take our time with that one, maybe introduce him to some of the toys in his own basement. I guess a simple decapitation (or a knife in the gut in non-CE playthroughs) has to do.

What? Why? That pretty much condemns your sister back to the streets and lets your nephew grow up without a father Image IPB

I can't remember if you could kill the crazy guy in the forest who you have to get an acorn from for treebeard.
