I never hated the Series or ME3, but the later parts of it seemed have a certain lacking when it came to quality. That's without talking about the Catalyst or the colorcoded endings.

The EC helped improve the feeling of closure for the colorcoded endings, but it didn't improve Priority Earth.

Hate isn't the right word, but I'll never play it again. For me to still enjoy the series I have to ignore 3 and think of Mass Effect as an interesting but unfinished story. The Reapers are coming after 2, and ME3 multiplayer is scenes from the war.

Never hated it, like, ever.

Disappointed in:
1)Ending, what was involved with it (actually didn't hate Catalyst, but just the whole ending setup in itself).
2)Dev shortcuts were more glaring.
3)Bioware's response to criticism, and declining to explain their product like more reasonable people would. (even if it means declining to explain very important parts needed for the rest of the series, their more blanket 'not discussing it' seeming policy is weak and actually pretty sad to see)

I've kept interest in the series and I have some personally inspiring ideas about where it may go, but as I have little solid to go with, I intentionally keep my hype levels very low.

No.

I hated that ME2 squadmates were reduced to cameos

Same boat here.

It's not a bad game really. I just recognize what's missing more than what is there. I can't wrap my head around this.

Yeah, pretty much sums up my feelings.

Played through ME2 thrice and bought all the DLC I could, whereas with ME3 I never had any particular inclination to play the game again.

It wasn't necessarily just the ending for myself, ME3 was just missing something I couldn't put my finger on... although I was disappointed about the lack of continuity with the characters in your crew from ME2, disappointed that some just got cameo appearances here and there... that was something I could put my finger on

I don't and never have hated Mass Effect 3.

I'm disappointed about how the ending was handled, Priority: Earth and the tendency to force emotions onto Shepard, but it remains a pretty good game,

Most who actually hated ME3 have either left, been banned, or pop in here to rant and then leave, instead of sticking around.

I know several IRL who hate Mass Effect 3, but they wouldn't be the types of write in a forum about it.

BSN has stabilized to the 'snarky but calmer' state it was at sooner after ME2 ("OMG HUMAN REAPER STUPID" tempered down pretty quick, but ME3's ending took much longer).

I've never hated it. I've just merely conclued a long time ago that Mass Effect is of mediocre quality.

I think I've played ME3 4-5+ times now. Not 10+ for sure.

Yep. The game is really fun to play. Bioware did extremely well with the combat, it never gets boring to play. Fire Explosions are the greatest things ever created.

Can't disagree with that (favorite class is pyro VG). I think they finally found their stride with combat at least. I hope this enables them to shift their focus on other things.

I don't "hate" ME3; looks good, sounds good, plays pretty good, and has epic space combat scenes I like to sit back and enjoy. Writing overall isn't the game's strong point but the companions seem fairly well written. Leviathan DLC is my favorite (seems inspired by the movie Abyss, which I enjoy). The ending is "meh" but MEHEM fixes it for my Paragons.

For my most recent renegade (who went for max murders/kills), I got the breath scene (MEHEM not installed) and his name wasn't put on the memorial wall. The monster lives! haha.

Just to be a downer though, combat doesn't win me over entirely. I loved that ME2 was so malleable.. the squad was so big that the story felt different depending on your squad in a given mission. You were free to "sculpt" your story experience in a more personal way then. That's what I miss the most. I have a hard time ignoring who I'd like around during certain ME3 missions. It's sad that I can revisit Horizon with Ash or Kaidan, but not an ME2 squadmate (EDI kind of suffices though). Or hitting Cronos station without Jack or Miranda. Even more pathetic is that I can encounter Jack there ONLY if I was a dick and got her abducted and indoctrinated. Something I'd never want to do. That says a lot though: The story is more complete the worst you are. You don't get rewarded for saving anyone or any survivals from the past game. It's very one sided.

Pretty much a standard VG, but with Inferno Grenades.

Hyperbole that is untrue. David Archer alone disproves your statement.
