I wouldn't be angry but I wouldn't buy it.   And it could be my lack of imagination, but I don't know how it could deal with it to my satisfaction.  They can either canonize one of the endings, or ignore your choice completely.  I wouldn't want the former (unless they lose their minds and canonize refuse) and I had enough of the latter with the Rachni.

In that case I look forward to enjoying you whine about people not liking what you like.

That's actually what I'm expecting them to do with the next installment. Midquel that ignores ME3 entirly. Can't say it would make me angry, wouldn't make me very intrested though.

I don't care if they don't like what I like.  I just don't need them throwing it in my face.

So you venture into a thread asking people if they hate the game in order to avoid the subject?

I don't think they can canonize refuse unless you want to play a yahg in the next game

Which would be relevant if this was a thread started by one of our ilk. It's not though.

Yep.  If the series has to be trashed, I'd much rather have a Wild Bunch bang than a catalyst-choice whimper.  Or they could retcon the Liara capsule and put Shepard in a stasis pod with the Rachni or a secret Geth server or some such.

Why the hell not, maybe it could make for an interesting story.

Although I'm pretty sure the discussion is moot because I doubt BioWare would ever go for that.

Having played EC for the first time (late to the party, I know), I'm MUCH happier with the ending now. I've only played the Control ending for my FemShep so far (though I'm going to see how the other two work out, Control is probably my happy ending, or close as), and the addition of the denoument (or falling action) was a nice touch, letting me know that the galactic civilization I'd been fighting for the whole time did, in fact, survive. That was my main issue pre-EC, with the destruction of the Mass Relays, the universe goes from bad (Reapers killing everyone) to worse (people stranded on distant planets with no communication or hope of re-establishing the interstellar trade that they rely on for petty things like, I dunno, FOOD). I'm glad to see my squad made it out okay, and things are going to keep on going without me (at least, not in a form you are comfortable with.)

The series as a whole is amazing (though being a currently broke Playstation owner, I've never played the first one), and the EC fixed the only real issue I had, which was the ultimate irrelevancy of everything else I'd done up to that point. At least, in my interpretation of the original endings.

While it would solve the issue of playthrough permutations, it would effectively remove all the races that ME fans have come to know and love. I don't think Bioware would make the next ME game feel that alien from the rest of the franchise.

It would depend upon just what "to my satisfaction" meant. If it somehow went with my choice and ignored the nonsensical aspects that would obviously be great and about all I'd find satisfying, but that's not going to happen. If it's simply set later and ignores everything about the ending to ME3 that would be sufficient. If it canonises something I really dislike then I can't see myself playing it at all. If it's a sequel or midiquel I've just not much interest, particularly for anything tied in to Origin (anything will have to be very, very good to make me want to put up with that for another game).

They have that problem already.  Quarians could be dead, so could the Krogan, Geth and Rachni.

Indeed.

If they just go with "The Reapers were dealt with, don't worry about how" I could deal with that.

Or better yet, just pretend the Reaper war never happened to begin with.

But if they force one or all of these endings, then no, I have no desire to revisit the galaxy.

I liked it a lot more than ME3.

You aren't really helping here.
And I say that as someone who loves ME3.

That's a common occurrence in his case.

Lol help with what?  They hate those of us that like the game almost as much as they hate the game anyways

Nah, I don't hate people who like ME3. My girlfrined likes ME3 and I obviously don't hate her.

I don't even hate you Kotor, I simply dislike you a lot (but at the same time you're also funny, you provide us with great entertainment, so i guess I have mixed feelings about you). And trust me, you being a ME3 fanboy has nothing to do with it.

Let's get one thing straight,  I am not just an ME3  fanboy,  I am a fanboy of the entire series.  Anything that is Mass Effect I am going to be a fanboy of.  Damn proud of it to.

This is relevent...how?

Nobody asked you

But he is asking you. And I'm wondering the same thing. How is this relevant to anything? I don't really care that you're proud of being a fanboy of a video-game series. To be honest I don't even see the point in being proud of being a fanboy of something. Being a fanboy isn't something to be proud of.

I don't think pretending it never happened is something I want - that would invalidate all the things I like about ME1-3 as well as the stuff I don't. That's why I favour the "dealt with, don't worry about it" approach. Have the geth alive and no Catalyst of any sort and that's conveniently contradictory to any of the endings.
