I definatly never hated me3, I've played through this game more times then I can remember. This and me2 are probably two of my favorite games I've ever played. I just made my first marksman infiltrator and finally picked up my shweet m7 lancer... Now garrus tali and I are kick mass and takin names old school style!

infiltrator is the best playthrough experience imo....

Tactical Cloak along with that time dilation while scoping enemies down range. Shame we aren't doing it from a mile high mountain like in ME1.....but I can always hope for a return to that in the next game.

Pfffft. I not only never hated ME3, I downright LOVED it from beginning to end. The ending was meh, but the game and the series stayed with me long after I finished them.

I think I can say once the EC came out that I loved it. The original ending was a little vague for my tastes. But with the ec slides and the extended destroy ending it was much better. And the gameplay in the mass effect games is so awesome and unique that I would still play it even if they didn't change the ending. Which is why I never understood how much people complained about these games being gears clones. With all the crazy stuff you can do in these games....Shep puts Phoenix to shame with half the tps versitily. Ironic part is I was looking for games similar to gears when I found mass effect....soooooo much better!!!

I try to remember Mass Effect the same way you remember someone when they pass: You remember the good times when they were healthy, not when they were in their final hours (Or in this case 15 minutes) when they were at their sickest.

I wish it was that simple.  But going back to those earlier games...the journey now feels like a trip to a funeral.

It's a rare talent to not only screw up a game, but to frak up two earlier games in the process.

Isn't that true about anyone's life?

People doing stupid things, getting themselves and others killed in the process, is a tragedy in RL too.

What exactly are you even talking about iakus? Shep can either sacrifice the Geth, Edi and possibly his/her own life(or just Edi depending on how you ended the rannoch arc) to save the galaxy and destroy the reapers or just sacrifice his/herself and protect/control the galaxy with the reapers or do whatever it is synthesis actually does and still save the galaxy....the only way for shep to be stupid and jus get people killed is to pick refuse...(or I guess low ems destroy)

I consider Control and Synthesis to be dying stupidly.

I consider Destroy and Refuse to be getting people killed stupidly.

All of them are for a lame cause, a problem that I don't believe exists.

the endings are all basically structured contrivance, self-serving bullscat on the part of the writer to force the story's development down a particular path.  It forces Shepard to act stupidly, die tragically, and taints the whole trilogy because there's not a frakking thing Shepard could do to stop it.  Shepard is screwed from the start.

I'm getting real tired of your **** Iakus.

We get it, you hate the endings. You've posted why you hate them numerous times now. There is nobody on this forum who does not understand why you hate the endings.

Not at all. I just expected that after 2 years you would have grown tired of posting the same paragraph in every thread.

Well I guess I can see that's your perspective. my shep has never died in me3 so that kinda make your whole rant about shep dying unnecessarily and being screwed from the start invalid...

Dunno, mine keeps falling through the entrance stairs of the sushi restaurant when I turn on freecam. That's quite terminal.

I've come to accept it. I actually didn't finish the game until a few weeks ago. Once I found out about all that... stuff... I held off on it.

But after getting Citadel DLC and the updated ending, I've come to terms. I now wait anxiously for ME4.

Part of me wishes I held off on beating the game until the EC and Citadel were released.

Sure, I have no complaints about the ending now, but I'll never forget the initial reaction I had beating it for the first time... It sort of spoiled the rest of the experience for me. Regardless, ME3 is still very special to me, and I'm definitely looking forward to the next game.

Constant negativity is more grating than constant positivity. Except in the case of STIs.

And saving the entire galaxy isn't victory enough for this?
