Ok..... I was under the impression it did. Reason being for pc version daggers were definitely changed from a 0.85 modifier to a 0.5str/0.5str when game patched it to the original version thus far. So what you are saying is that the patches thus far changed daggers but it left bows alone? I meant with respect to all patches till date.BlackVader wrote...
As far as I know, patch 1.02 is not available on consoles yet. However, since the patch didn't change anything about bows, my results should be correct for all versions of the game. Barring versions with user-mods, of course.

Daggers always had a 0.85 ability modifier. However, before patch 1.02, they got 100% of this 0.85 from strength. The patch changed it to 50% str/50% dex, so a Dagger get's 0,425 damage per point in either dex OR str. This is the way daggers are meant to be. Since I have heard nothing of a console-patch, I'm pretty sure it's stilll 100% str for daggers on the consoles.mosspit wrote...

Lockpicking is only based on cunning and the deft hands talent line. So a pure dex-build without any cunning wouldn't be able to open all chests.JPCamden wrote...
