"It is nice to have to option to kill someone" ...... Really? No one else finds that sentence a little sick?

When it comes to a fictional lump of pixels on a screen?

No.

That doesn't make sense at all... If violent impulses aren't to be considered worrying, just because they are targeted at pixels, then what should be worrying is the mere fact that you are even targeting pixels with any emotions at all....

I'd rather feel violent impulses to fictional objects then reality based ones but that's just me.

And apparently people focus on things with emotions, most things in fact.

Depends on the person for the spectrum it takes though.

Emperor this is the same forum in which the thread "Can we get rid of X" pops up at least once a week. I think the people here are a liitle desensitized. [/understatement]

Cut them some slack.

With that mentality you could simplify a human being to a lump of meat with water sloshing around in it. Let's be honest, if video games were just lumps of pixels to people, we wouldn't be seeing threads like this one, or its more positive counterparts. And video games themselves probably wouldn't have advanced much since pong and tetris.

Nor would there be such vigorous debates about which love interest is better.

I guess it really depends. The more sinister, conniving characters tend to press the bloodlust button.

That's true Kaiser. Especially <looks around, sees no Rassler> Anders and Alrik.

Killing Morrigan? Why would one do that?

Nah. There are still 11 more sequels to be dragged out of that character and her mommy/kid issues.

Plus, Claudia Black.

Anders is a mixed bag, but Alrik is a creepy (and possibly rape-y) templar that abuses his power.

I like Morrigan. Death to Leiliana!

I think Leliana is about as smart as a potato but she is too naive to deserve death. Morrigan however should die.

Anders is a terrorist. He was all about manipulation (through slaughter).

That tends to invoke the bloodlust, as Hierophant said.

This is true, and I do kill him as well. That said, I didn't find his death to be so much satisfying as a little frustrating, since I would have preferred to be able to influence him to not go all mage-rage on everything, as I generally prefer to save as many companions as I can.

Plus, Claudia Black.

I will gladly follow Morrigan through one of her big green rips in the sky to make more OGBs with her.

Why is everyone so down on the op. I think choices are always good. Like the old elder scrolls where you could absolutely anyone if you wanted to. They never said you HAVE to

Do you have a character with 0 kills.

Bioware games have always been obsessed with killing, often innocent people, cutscene or no. I particularly feel for the families of all those nameless rent--a-cops just guarding an area to buy bread.

She's one of the more complex gals in video games today IMO. Th world is more interesting with her around, love or hate her.

I'll definetly GOING TO KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLL HER!!! She's going DOWN hard, and if Bioware gives us more options to kill her, it would make my day, I'd personally like the option of impailing her on a spike, burning her alive with magic (even better tied to something like a stake), smashing her head to lots of bits (if you have a warhammer), slicing her in half (with a greatsword), lifting her in the air with one arm and strangling her to death, or (if you're a qunari), rip her head off her shoulders with your bare hands, but if Bioware doesn't offer such customized killing option based on your class, race and weapon in hand, I can also settle with the classical dagger, and as for metagaming, the reason my inquisitor will kill her is beacause he/she will have a gut feeling telling him/her that she is the scum of the world and needs to be eradicated, which I think she is, and I hated her the first time I saw her, she looked FILTHY and she was a conniving beesh! And if we don't get the option to kill her, then I'M DONE WITH BIOWARE FOR GOOD, AND I MEAN FOR LIFE, I'LL NEVER EVER BUY SOMETHING MADE BY THEM EVER AGAIN! I've been waiting for the moment to kill her for good for such a long long time!!! As for the article, I'll try to find it again!

I found the link of the article, it's on destructoid:
http://www.destructo...on-259956.phtml
and as a side note, the article stated that it's Morrigan's moment, which also implies the possibility to kill her! She is on my list of most hated fictional characters EVER, alongside Joffrey Baratheon!
