I found the link of the article, it's on destructoid:
http://www.destructo...on-259956.phtml
and as a side note, the article stated that it's Morrigan's moment, which also implies the possibility to kill her! She is on my list of most hated fictional characters EVER, alongside Joffrey Baratheon!
The article title is misleading as nothing in the article implies that the player will decide Morrigan's fate. That "Morrigan's moment" statement doesn't imply anything other than the fact that she will have a spotlight.
And what did Morrigan ever do that justifies a comparison to Joffrey?

I don't like her as a person tough. She is cold, manipulative and cannot be trusted. Also immoral as hell. A very bad combo.
Still, I won't kill her unless she gives me a reason too.
Would mind is she gets her deserved karmic reward by someone else tough. Probably one of the alianage elves she was so keen on draining.

"It is nice to have to option to kill someone" ...... Really? No one else finds that sentence a little sick?
When it comes to a fictional lump of pixels on a screen?
No
With that mentality you could simplify a human being to a lump of meat with water sloshing around in it. Let's be honest, if video games were just lumps of pixels to people, we wouldn't be seeing threads like this one, or its more positive counterparts. And video games themselves probably wouldn't have advanced much since pong and tetris.
What X is to Y doesn't matter much compared to what X is.
Given that a game is a bunch of code and data, and that character don't get offended or have any real emotions or lives, then I don't see the problem.
Actually, the PERCEPTION of it is what creates a problem.
If Bob was in love with a rock, would you feel bad for the rock if it broke?
No, you might feel bad for Bob because of his emoptional attachment and pain, but the rock is a rock.

She ends any game based on what she witnessed and how other people are treated and the value of people and things, her outlook would be based on what she had experienced, what the Warden or Flemeth had shown her. IMHO players who show little patience when dealing with Morrigan, seem to misunderstand that she was like a child trying to learn anything she could. She could also be a spy gathering information though. What she said and what she meant I think were two different things. I don't think she lied, she just left out details that later on prove important.
She has too many seer, rogue and Elven references in her dialogue and appearance in Origins to allow herself be trapped and executed. I am willing to see how Inquisition pans out before my Inquistitor does something rash which they might regret later.
She didn't go to Orlais for a holiday. Surely she wouldn't think of lumbering herself with a kid for no reason? If she turns out to be a manipulative b**** it is because she was told she was one, and if that helps her do what she has to do in Inquistion then she's going to do it. Do we really know what her motivation is yet? So far it's guess work no actual proof.
It could be a misunderstanding, give the girl a chance.

Damn, the OP really hates Morrigan. Have you tried romancing her? That should change your mind.
Well why peoples always asume that befriending her or romancing will make peoples like her...
She is always bi*** even if you romance her then she stops being one toward you (only toward you) what can make many peoples don't like her.As far it is her only sympathetic part and there is no much to that rest is pure bi***
And well before you asume that i hate her no i even like her but i want kill her simple because she is bi*** that can't be trusted (and i mean huge **** by that).

Komandor, how can you say such hurtful things about my love? She isn't a **** at all, she's not perfect but she has good qualities. She also has power and information that could savs the world.
ekhm
"but she has good qualities." to be honest romance or friendship with her is her only only positive trait that she had in first game if she wasn't in our party she would be just another villain. As once mentioned morrigan was in dao black character not gray... we can debate about that but what is point she is bi*** toward everyone only exception is the warden and only when friend or lover...

I'm curious as to what example(s) one could draw from to prove that Morrigan can't be trusted.
Lets see cruel manipulative bi*** that enjoy suffering of others (if you want aruge i can start pointing examples) and don't have any moral qualms and is power hungry...

No way. Although I wouldn't mind finishing Flemeth.
Flemeth is a weird case since her intervention actually did quite a bit of good in the story. If not for her, the entirety of Ferelden's Grey Wardens would have been wiped out, and the Blight would have likely consumed the country before sufficient forces came to help, especially since the foreign Grey Warden sent to investigate was captured as well.

That's true but I still don't like her.
IMO, Morrigan is still the most interesting character in DA:O.

Ah good ole BSN, it's always fun to pop in and see who the sociopaths deem worthy of slaughter this time.

And for what it's worth, only a few of my personalities believe Morrigan deserves to die. Most just shrug and move on to more important things. Like arguing on the internet.
