The long Cooldowns would make the combo's hard to perform, so I guess he's replacing them with incendiary cheese and claymoar to the face.jrob6 wrote...

But those 6+6 explosions...why cover them up?
I could resort to doing that with my sniper engineer, for that matter...

Everyone to his own I guess. I like her with pistols SMG or lancer or Indra. Even 66653 works great too.

You've got two human engineers. What's the point in playing them exactly the same way?Dovakiin-TheSlayer wrote...
Why would one use 'probably the best combo explosions class', class that has powers for every defence and enemy faction and play her as claymore wielding weapons class? She don't have juicy weapons passive or TC or HM or AR or such.

never mind. I forgot this is BSN and Elites go around one or 2 shotting scions with their Claymoar or Javelin on platinum and wreck the scoreboard.
When my HE lays eyes on phantoms, they are stunlocked to a slow death. She may not OSK the phantom but the blasts that killed her, also would have laid corpses of enemies around her. And because I play in a team, handling bosses is not a issue. They go down quickly too with team fire-power and my de-buffs. Including praetorians. Without incendiary cheese. That is pretty satisfying to me.

I make both power based , droneless, fitness less etc. But my HE has to have enough cooldown to detonate my own combos. Again...My style.

WTF does any of this have to do with "Elites" and the scoreboard? You mention wanting to play with "your style", yet you question how others choose to play with theirs. It's pretty silly.Dovakiin-TheSlayer wrote...

To answer your question extensively:
1. I don't play against the Geth. At all. That's the first strike against the Drone.
2. In the past, whenever I cast the Drone, I realized it would be just better to the cast either Incinerate or Overload. Following that logic, I dropped the Drone completely.
3. I play Gold 99% of the time. I don't need the extra power damage from the passives, since both Incinerate and Overload damage values are both laughable. They're used to strip shields (base values do that more than fine already), crowd control (lolchainoverload) and set up the tech bursts/fire explosions/abuse incendiary cheese. The bonus weapon damage helps kill bosses faster.
What I forgot to mention when I posted my HFE build is that against Cerberus, I switch to the Disruptor Ammo. I use Incendiary against the Rippers and the Collectaz.

I came to the same conclusion myself. Still very undecided about what to do with the human male. I'll probably skip incinerate and go the claymore route.Heldarion wrote...

That works too. Probably more effective in many circumstances. I have had one of my enginere 066666. But drone is fun. Flushing out Marauders, Nemesis and Phantoms. I am not sure but I think shock drone does something to scions. I went back to drone build.

Stunlocking Phantoms (and other infantry) is cowardice. Real men don't need crutches to deal with them. Using the Scorpion and talking about teamwork is like Krogan defending Pacifism. Also, what debuffs are you talking about?

why even bother with TB? when you can FE EVERYTHING?
I'm pretty sure i know how it's done, but thanks for the useless tip.
You come across a large group, and hit em with incinerate. You follow that up with overload for the FE you love so much. Some of the enemies survive that, and you want to create another FE (you do love those don't you). In order to do so, you have to prime with incinerate once again, resulting in, you guessed it, a TB.
Simple right? You don't have to bother with the TB because they'll happen regardless.
Thanks again captain obvious of the bsn elites... lol i'm glad you feel better for explaining something everyone already knows..... now then moving on:blink:
ok now that the smartass response is out of the way, originally he made it seem like he went out of his wat to cause Tech Bursts on shielded enemies... personally I just don't bother causing TB on purpose for shields... shields are easy enough to strip with weapon fire... So i always incinerate, weapon fire to remove shield/barrier, then overload to cause a FE... I don't really care whether it's the most effective way or not... i just like getting FE kills.. lol

I should have worded a bit more carefully....bypassing in the sense, when the banshee is in warp ball mode, deploy the drone behind her to which she immediately uses her nova attack which gives you a clean window to use incinerate to setup your FEDovakiin-TheSlayer wrote...

The drone specced for suicide, shock, shock will keep crowds ocupied and stagger them, meanwhile I'll either stuff em full of electricity for TB or incierate for FEs when they destroy the drone.
Further more, drone specced like this will keep phantoms ocupied indefinatley if you just keep deploying it. Primes will always turn to deal with the drone. Again, if he's still on shields, overload till he blows the drone for a TB. If he's down to armor - incinerate and just wait for him to blow himself.
Volus sentinel has two such powers and with both specced for destruction and zap-zap, he can really reign havoc on mook spawns. Again geth are easiest here. Especially effecive used in conjunction with Venom.
