I didn't say that they were a waste of resources, I just said that they shouldn't be there. Mostly because they are weak, shallow, and embarassments to anything BioWare, and a mockery to all things of the heart. Also, they're corney as hell and all romance dilogue from Hawke gave me whiplash from how hard I had to facepalm. 

Then why even try them at all?

Yep, plus if you say no, they get butthurt.

I think that's the case with Isabella, Anders, and Merrill.

DA:I is REALLY going to have to step up its game if it wants even have a prayer at getting that level of fan rage and angst.

Aw yeah I'm just waiting for the Waifu threads, the counter waifu threads, the counter-counter waifu threads, and of course the "This group is the one I've decided to project my RL issues on so anyone who says anything bad about them is racist in RL!" hordes.

Okay, before I bail out of here:

Fenris never flirted with my male Hawke (which I'm playing now) nor my female Hawke. Since you obviously haven't played DA2 in quite a while, I'll remind you that had to choose to flirt with Fenris. The heart icon was there and he never hit on you first. The only one was Anders.

I'm not sure why posters keep crying about a lousy +15 rivalry if you turn Anders down, especially if you were pro-Mage. He hit on my female Hawke and had the exact same reaction. It was the same flirt. I've turn him down several playthroughs and moved on with my life. If you were pro-Templar, you're gonna be his rival anyhow. A bunch of pixels shaped like a guy hit on you, and it's still that big of a deal? I will never ever understand that.

Have fun. OP, check out Gaider's blog and the stuff from Gaymer Con. I think you'll enjoy it. This thread isn't probably going to end well. Later guys, try not to be uber jackasses to each other.

lol, I don't know what you're talking about, all I know is what happened to my game when I played through it. Maybe by selecting the diplomatic option too much it counted as a flirt? Maybe I wasn't paying attention.

It was just a weird turn I never saw coming, espeically when I was already building things up with merril.

Unless you tell him to stay professional for the rest of the game, he'll always flirt with you, something that Gaider stauchly defends. I mean the writer, House. The head writer says it's there.

I mean... so much butthurt. SO MUCH butthurt. Just... all over the place. 

Makes me kind of happy my BSN account is glitched and I still, to this day, cannot post in those forums. Reading it alone was infectious with its absolute madness. I can't imagine what would have happened if I gotten to actually post during those mad times.

I made fun of Justice, he never flirted once after that, at all. Fenris never flirted with me at all. Merrill didn't either. Only Isabela did and that's no diffrent then Zev flirting with you in DAO. Never got ninjamanced in DA2, I did in DAO though.

From what little I remember of Fenris dialogue. The thing that bothered me the most was that offering to teach him how to read was a flirt....I mean really?
