I haven't seen what happens with Miranda dead, so I want to try that. And I love Mordin, but I wonder if I can sabotage genophage (with Wreav and data destroyed) if Mordin is dead? I think I want to come into the game with as few ME2 survivors as possible... Tali, Garrus, Legion and Grunt because I like their parts... Thane for his hero scene. Jack might be fun to see as a phantom....

Good topic!

I haven't killed Wrex. And yes, I need to sabotage the genophage. I'm going to do it by offing Wrex and destroying the data (thus ensuring even with Mordin, she dies). Then I can supposedly convince my Mad Doctor to go along with the Dalatross' plan and help with the Crucible.

I sold off Legion last game, and I have another with a Paragon where I accidentally killed Legion. Honest, I didn't know Miranda was being a blowhard before the Long Walk, never again. But I thought that a fascinating consequence, so I loaded it as is. I may have to make a tragic-romanced Tali who dies at the door to explore saving the other side of that choice in ME3. But I'm set for Legion-Nemesis this game. ;)

I've never given the base to Cerberus. Came REALLY close 1 game. But she didn't trust TIM enough. But I still want to play a game through that way.

Never shot the VS in the Citadel yet. And I tried to ignore Kaiden enough last game to do so. But I guess I was too good a renegade. :P And I saved the Salarian Counselor, so I think that factors into the chance too. I *always* shoot Udina. mwahahaha

I've tried *twice* to take Morinth, but both times the renegade fell for her domination, so they couldn't choose to side with her. I need to do it once to unlock domination in ME2, finally. :P

I've never shot Rana, but that's because you can't in ME2. Otherwise she would be toast.

And despite being tempted, I never send Jacob into the vents. I *have* to fix that. lol

Sabotaging the genophage is so much more satisfying with Wreav - I feel bad with Wrex because when you talk to him, he really cares and is generally sweet. Wreav is nasty. He wants revenge, doesn't care about the women or listen to them, wants war, likes to bully... just terrible.

I always shoot rana now because she is indoctrinated. I start a character from scratch in ME 1 every so often. I'm just playing an engineer for the first time now. Haven't finished a sentinel past ME1 yet either but that's next. Turns out I really love Engineers but I learned that from the MP where I most always play one.

If you choose Morinth, I wonder how that plays out for ME3.... I think that will be what I do instead of kill Samara. Let Morinth hold the field.

I've shot both VS and I've had both on my crew, romanced Kaidan for most of my early games until I decided he was a whiner. Now I kick them both off the Normandy and send the to Hackett where they are worth way more than I ever get out of them. And then I go to Jeff who has THE BEST moment after that scene after you have to renegade them if you don't visit.

I'm actually running out of options. I've tried so many of them. Some were misfortune like not having enough paragon/renegade to save tali/jack, then screwing up with thane and samara's missions. Didn't realize about the upgrades. What a horrible first run that was. So many dead.... :(

Try having Miranda dead and watch Oriana and her father die.

Meet the requirements for peace between the Geth and Quarians only to pick the Geth and watch Tali do a beautiful swan dive and Legion dies uploading code. What is even better is if they're the only one's to survive ME2 they both die

Don't talk to T'soni at all during the game and she won't mention the gift in LOndon

Don't shake Javik's hand in London

Make Jack fireteam leader and get a funny comment from Miranda. Of course the one in the vent is killed

If you plan on shooting Ashley/Kaidan during the Citadel coup make sure you wear Cerberus armor

Have Zaeed die during his loyalty mission(only after suicide mission)

Turn over the evidence to the Admirals and not gaining Tali's loyalty

In ME1 do everything that can be done and rescue T'soni last.

let the coucil die in ME1(I do it all the time)

during Thane's loyalty mission shoot the hostage

have Thane dead in ME2 and Kirrahe will be killed by Kai Leng

Ignore Anderson the whole game and he will say he was born in London once

I have done all of the above plus other things.

Try having Miranda dead and watch Oriana and her father die. - HAVE TO SEE THAT!

Meet the requirements for peace between the Geth and Quarians only to pick the Geth and watch Tali do a beautiful swan dive and Legion dies uploading code. What is even better is if they're the only one's to survive ME2 they both die - DONE

Don't talk to T'soni at all during the game and she won't mention the gift in LOndon - DONE

Don't shake Javik's hand in London - DONE

Make Jack fireteam leader and get a funny comment from Miranda. Of course the one in the vent is killed - HAVE TO DO THIS!

If you plan on shooting Ashley/Kaidan during the Citadel coup make sure you wear Cerberus armor - Done but didn't notice anything different....

Have Zaeed die during his loyalty mission(only after suicide mission) - He can die then? Seriously?

Turn over the evidence to the Admirals and not gaining Tali's loyalty - Done then she dies and I miss not having her tech against the geth

In ME1 do everything that can be done and rescue T'soni last - HiLARIOUS!!! and DONE most of the time now

let the coucil die in ME1(I do it all the time) - Me too except this last one and I've decided I really do love the second council so much more. Such a better group.

during Thane's loyalty mission shoot the hostage - This is a must try for my sentinel run!

have Thane dead in ME2 and Kirrahe will be killed by Kai Leng - Done

Ignore Anderson the whole game and he will say he was born in London once - Done

-------

What other ones are there? It's like there are all these easter eggs for the different choices....

I have done all of the above plus other things.

There are many choices I haven't made in this game, like keeping the collector base, killing Wrex, sabotaging the genophage cure, saving Morinth...etc. But honestly there are strong reasons I don't want to even try those options. Not even after 3 full playthroughs.
EDIT: I actually might try saving Morinth when replaying my renegade Shepard. Samara's constant reminder of how I'm an evil person in renegade playthrough is funny but can be annoying sometimes. But other than that no.

I was the same way... there were things I felt I just couldn't do or didn't want to do. I won't sabotage the cure with Wrex alive. But I'll not do his loyalty mission and not put anything into charm/renegade until after he dies on Virmire so I can sabotage the cure. Not sure if I want to keep the collector base just because I really, really don't like Tim. But many of them are surprisingly easy to do after being paragonish for so long. I think I started doing the other stuff to change it up and have it be more interesting.

So many are really worth trying.

Downside for me is that if I want to do a horrible play with uber los EMS - I can't because I have something like 8,000 from the MP promote challenge. I could screw everyone over (if it were possible) and get no allies and my N7 forces would still have the best options.

There's a lot of stuff I haven't done, but only a couple things that I want to do but haven't yet. Namely, romance Jack, and save turian platoon/bomb missions until after the coup so I can have the VS come with. I also plan on doing one trilogy run of an anti-social Shep who never talks to anyone if she doesn't have to. Should make the games go a lot faster....

I think for me the reason is more like after three different Shepards and three full playthroughs, I don't feel like trying new stuff anymore, even if I play the game again, it would be mostly the same choices and replays of existing characters. To me how the story is written for each of them is "fixed" for the most part, if I regret a decision, like never saving Morinth once, then I might try that during replay. But other than that I don't see myself changing anything anymore.

And there is no way, absolutely no way that I will let Wrex die.

Oriana's death

Zaeed death during his loyalty mission it can only happen after the suicide mission. You have to have at least 2 other squadmates alive to do this and when doing it pick the option to save the workers

here is a playthrough I did almost a year ago if interested I called it "I'm Commander Shepard and you will die" playthrough Scroll down to the last post

If you kill off Miranda and Thane (or Kill Thane and make sure Miranda lives in ME3) in ME2 you get a better (imo) line after killing Kai Leng.

It's worth it just to see what the line is.

I'm going to start a new ME2 now and see how insane I can be!

You should.  I had a great time with a fail run with only Samara and Zaeed surviving.  That way I wouldn't have to meet any sucide mission survivors in ME3, and Shep had nobody to call in London.  So depressing.

Play the mission to save Adm. Koris and rescue his crew instead. If you don't want to sacrifice him, do a save before disabling the second AA gun and then save the crew. You can reload/change it after that. Just see what happens, though.

There's no video of it on YT that I know of.

If you ignore everything that Sam has to say in ME3 by not doing ANY of the missions she suggests, the scene on the Normandy where Kai Leng gets tracked to Sanctuary is COMPLETELY different.

WILL DO!

I'm playing ME2 now and my first act was to give Veetor to cerberus! Off to a swimming start.

I do want Garrus to survive and maybe a few more. Tali is already dead as I won't be fixing her disagreement. Jack and Miranda will die. I'll put Miranda with Samara in the final battle I think. Both should die. Thane will be taken by swarmers if I have a not loyal Samara or Jack do the field. I'll just blow off a bunch of loyalty missions. Skip Thane's, Samara's, as they're kind of nonsensical.... Leave Grunt in the tank and turn legion over...

How do I kill mordin? I have to destroy the data, so I guess he lives.

Mordin is one of the easiest to kill, but if you want to REALLY play around with killing off particular crewmembers, check out this thread:

I'm playing a renegade game right now. The only ones who made it out of the possible survivors from the first two parts of the trilogy are Zaeed and Kasumi. It's a very different experience from my usual completionist paragon runs. Reading this thread I see I'm missing out on some good content, and I miss Garrus and Grunt.

I didn't even have kirrahe around to take Thane's place during the citadel coup, and the salarian councilor died. What the hell was she thinking? I usually take Garrus on that mission, and I think it should have been possible for him to stay on the second level and take a sniper shot at Kai Leng, but oh well.

Eh, I'm still enjoying the renegade shep though. off-topic, is it possible to get the med-bay surgery for the scars, if you didn't get it in ME2? I could change it with gibbed, I think... but I'd rather do it in-game if possible.

The MedBay doctor will bring up the chance to take care of them or upgrade your health at some point after the Coup.  I can't remember exactly when.  If you're making this run without a doc in the MedBay, you may be SOL.

Thanks for that... and, wow, is it possible to not have a doc in the medbay?
