So I'm planning on making another playthrough and I'm wondering if the Renegade/Paragon increase multiplies all the Renegade/Paragon throughout the whole game, or just the points you have already. help a nub pls

Paragon and Renegade points received for actions done in the game are static (+2, +5, +7, and so on). These totals are then added together. That sum is then added together with the multiplier.

So the total is always dynamic. As soon as you gain more Paragon or Renegade points, the new total is calculated again.

I hope that clears things up.

It increases all received the whole game. You can test this by looking at where your bars are on the Squad screen before and after selecting that evolution.  There should be a noticeable jump.

You can also abuse this mechanic if needed. On most classes, I prefer the class passive evolution that does NOT grant the Paragon/Renegade bonus. However, if you are having trouble passing the two most difficult persuade checks in the game (Jack/Miranda and Tali/Legion), reload the save right before the corresponding mission. Respec Shep to the other evolution, replay the mission, pass the check, and respec Shep back to the other evolution.

I haven't yet had to resort to this to pass those checks, but it's an option if you've been playing the game somewhat middle-of-the-road as far as Paragon vs. Renegade.
