Some questions about talking to Matriarch Aethyta in the Presidium Commons...

1: Is there any known fixes for the dialog sequence erroneously labeling Liara as a LI?  Has the cause ever been pinpointed?

2: Is she only there before the Coup?  I always talk to her and get Liara to go to her before the Coup..  I read somewhere that one fix is to talk to Liara after the Coup and do the "friends" route in her dialog to nix it, but  she doesn't show up at all after the coup for me.

1) Someone suggested that telling Liara to take a break may trigger the erroneous dialogue. Try telling Liara stocking up on mercs/eezo/etc. is a good idea.

2) I have never seen her after the coup. Don't see how that is possible since Liara moves to the other side of the Presidium.

I can verify this worked for me.  At least when I tried it last time.

I believe this is one of the strangely connected bugs, like the one pre-EC where Gabby and Ken getting together was dependant on your relationship with Ashley. I'm fairly sure that her calling Shepard Liara's boy/girlfriend regardless is tied to taking the top dialogue option on Mars after repressurizing the facility. I tend to take the bottom dialogue options on Mars with her, and I never get Aethyta calling my Shepards' Liara's boyfriend.

I just redid the first conversation and went "Good idea" instead of "take a break", and it worked this time.

I also did "Someone had to" instead of "For my friends" during the prelude to the LiaraBox where she ruminates on seeing the whole cycle come to an end if the Crucible fails.  That might also be a factor, since the "paragon" option could be construed as getting close to Liara.
