It looks stunning, any doubts i had are completely gone, the hacking mini-games are a bit meh but really the RPG is still there and the action looks like it works so much better. no wonder its getting such high scores, you can tell right away
The mini-games seem somewhat tedious like i said...but such things are kind of hard to make fun. Either way, they aren't a deterrent, still looks like a great game.

Good thing they seem to appear a lot less than ME1's minigames.
The Normandy piloting thing looks just fine. If this is the replacement in the main game (not counting Hammerhead, I mean) for the Mako driving, I'm ALL for it. Especially with Tricia Helfer telling me I'm half empty!

Can you elaborate through the time constraints? Do you mean like you only have so long to explore, say, Illium or something when you are recruiting Thane, etc?
I feel i cant elaborate without spoiling a bit
Also, i never saw anything about tali, and that would be a huge spoiler if i did know.
Would it be possible to send me that particular spoiler in a message? If not that's alright.

From watching the guy play, it really seems like you need a measured approach to combat to be successful. Methodical almost. Being caught out in the open seemed to bring those red veins up more or less every time. However, another problem might have been he was trying to play an adept like it was a soldier. One lesson I definitely will take away from watching is that if you only have the hand cannon or SMG at your disposal then you need a different way to take care of those krogan. It looked like it took three or four full clips to get through the armor and health of one, and all the while the krogan has a shotgun.
Not that this is a huge surprise to anyone. Basically, the same methods that resulted in combat domination in ME1 will do the same in ME2. The difference is that dumbassery is actually punished.

The minigames aren't bad, but they won't be done as quickly as the simon-says ones were. The 'code matching' one looks easy at least at first glace, but I dunno about the wiring one.

I dunno, this commercial makes Simon-style mini games seem pretty cool... TO THE MAX

to play around for an entire mission without consequence. Difficulty may very
well stop you from completing a mission because of time contstraints, instead of death being the only impediment."
This is excellent news.

Yeah, he was pretty horrible. Then again, we haven't played yet have we?
In ME1 it really came down to two different general strategies, depending on enemy (class rarely factored into it for me):
-If there were, for example those rocket drones on Luna, I'd just bait them and take em down in the corridor. Keep distance and play a weird gurilla battle. It just looks weird every time I do it.
or
-Just charge in and spasticly shoot everything. Great thing for Vanguard, but its silly how everyone else can do it too.
But you could rarely (except in certain areas in the story planets) actually have a real firefight with true strategy. The AI was just to crummy for that, with the enemy either using cover stupidly, completely hiding, or charging in themselves when they are certainly too weak to realistically do so.
OK, I said all that and I have one point. ME2 does NOT have this!

Trippy 0_o I personally liked the simon says in ME1, and just wanted it to be retooled and advanced in ME2. I'm fine with what they've done though.

The hand cannon is actually pretty good, you just need another major gun with it. For a pistol it's pretty good.

This one is even better, it's the one I remember.
The new mini games are definitely better, I like how they seem more in line with what you're actually doing (one seems to be reconnecting circuits and the other is finding code)
I hope they make you do the minigame till you beat it, it was kinda bizarre to think that any mechnical device in the universe could be hot-wired if you threw enough scrap metal at it... including nuclear warheads.
