This is excellent news.

No that's horrible. Time sensitive quests ?

I thought we were over that crap since Fallout 1's damnable waterchip quest (explored the world too long ? -Game Over)

I wouldn't say its time sensitive, and theres only one instance of it. For a short period of time however, it looks like you can fail a mission based on how long you take.

I can imagine it goes for other things, such as exploring clusters etc.

Hmm I can do that in small instances...perhaps if it's like the bomb defusing quest or the last mako run to the citadle in ME1. That's not too bad. For a moment I feared there would be a global time limit of sorts. I loath such a game mechanic.

I wonder if the character who can get scarred will have 2 alternate outfits? One for if that character doesn't get scarred and one for if the character does.

I skipped around alot to avoid alot of conversations. Reducing spoilers. Hopefully I won't get banned for this, if I do, meh.

There are things you can do on mission that give you an edge. In other words there are things you can do story wise, outside of combat that will give you an advantage when the action starts. I recommend this.

I'm not sure this urgency thing. There is a point where you are mad aware of something and you can check it out or ignore it but the guy checked it out so not sure if ignoring it would hurt you in the long run.

When on both Omega and Citadel there seemed to be no rush IMO. But there is literally stuff everywhere, credits, upgrades, all sorts. I personally think its better then the blatantly obvious crates and lockers in ME1, there are still some, but alot of the stuff requires you to venture off and look around. This personally adds to the exploring part of the game. Vigilance seems to be key.

Also learning to use the power wheel, and use your powers, AND TAKING ARMOR BARRIERS AND SHIELDS INTO ACCOUNT, will help you. I was mentally screaming at the guy I was watching, going at an armored enemy with an SMG. Or going at a shielded enemy with a heavy pistol. Or using powers on targets that wouldn't be effected by them because their shields were up, or using a power on a miniboss multiple times when it was obvious it had no effect.

The urgency thing is an impression from one conversation, and a specific mission that you have to keep someone alive in. Its not present in all of the game, not even in 90% of it I would guess. But sometimes, I think it feels more immersive to know that you couldn't run in circles for three hours and have everything be the same in a firefight - So I highlighted this plus.

I don't believe there's any actual time limit to that quest.

Ah that one. Yeah, but that was once were ready to go to that area. The persons health bar wasn't there until you were in the over all area that the combat took place in. Before that you could run around in circle for 3 hours but once the you got to the place where the health bar appeared obviously at that point you needed to keep the person alive so no running around for you.

There could be more of that concept with leaving Liara till the last mission. She went a little insane. Perhaps if you leave one mission to the last, they might die?

The feed is still ongoing btw. Thanks for pointing it out. Now is the Collector mission with Tali, apparently.

Holy ****, the Collector General sounds like he's from Warhammer 40K.
(this isn't a spoiler, since the dude's already on the wiki)

The feed isn't ongoing. The guy went to bed. He has a filler video atm.

Some dude played Mass Effect 2 for like 5 hours while filming it live on his web channel.

I hope he puts up a message when/if he's resuming.

Yeah, watched it for a couple hours myself last night. This game seems to really want to make you think about what you're doing this time around. Anything you do (or don't do) has consequences. It's very impressive, and I'm far more eager to get my hands on it now than I was before.

Who remebers in ME1 when there was a timer for us to get to Tali, the urgency thing is probably just like that.

Well it was running when I posted it. He'll resume it eventually.

Combat does seem to be pretty hardcore this time around. He didn't look like he was playing a soldier though, so maybe that's why it seemed a little harder. And he wasn't using any tactical options. It's a pity that sometimes your companions get stupid and don't try to find cover.

I watched him play the Garrus recruiting mission last nite as well. Wish I had had time to stay around for Jack, but I had to get some sleep before work today. Anyways, just want to add a few of my observations.

Music is really well done. Afterlife especially had very good music.

Hacking and Decryption mini-games are very intuitive.

Some sidequests can still be acquired by overhearing conversations. (yay! :D)

Load times can indeed be a bit long and they seem to stand out more since you just have a static loading screen. I actually miss the elevators as they were better than the new loading screens imo.

Can't wait for the 26th!

Again install the game as that seems to reduce the load times by quite a bit.
