Do we not have enough Cullen threads? Was your comment so important that you could not hav expressed it in the thousand other threads on the topic?

No other characters gets as many threads.

What is the point in this thread for example? "Wouldn't it be funny if Bioware trolled cullens fangirls/boys?" No it wouldn't because it would just lead to more obsessing/arguing about him.

If someone loves Cullen then fine and if someone hates him then that is also fine but do we really need to talk about it every day?

Dude, this is the BSN. I have been here for a good 3 years. We recycle topics on the daily cause we are in a major info drought and we have nothing to do but speculate and squee over our favorite characters. Granted, this troll thread gets on my nerves, but it's whatever lol.

I recently bought my girlfriend DA:O, since she had been complaining that there weren't a lot of strong female characters, let alone games where you could be gay or lesbian. But considering the obsession with Cullen, perhaps I should avoid getting her DA2 altogether. xD

Make her play the female mage origin in DAO. He sounds a bit creepy and killed three apprentices in my epilogue., that sould be enough to scare her away xD

Cullen doesn't get many 'support' threads he generally gets, 'Why is Cullen so popular?'. I think that this is the one of the few support threads in these forums.

Cullen fans are considered BSN's crazy people because they're actually normal by our world's standards. They aren't fanatical and they don't wage wars against other characters because others like that character more than their one.

Must be good enough for you to keep coming back.

Speculation is the fun part of this whole thing. No one is going to find recieve any more information than developers are willing to give, but it is fun to dream about where the story could go and how it might be presented. The point is to use your imagination and create ideas that entertain and inform. Story telling isn't always about what is true or what is not true; it's about the story itself. Varric's fishtales in DA2 are a good example of that.
Besides, who wouldn't want to kill Cullen and force him to come back as a zombie slave?
That could just be the rebel mage in me talking though.

I've been here since the development of DA2, so I can definitely attest to the idea that when there's little to talk about, all it is is tons of speculation. But that's like anything, really. I used to be on Gamefaqs, when we were waiting for Twilight Princess to come out and man, those threads were crazy.

The nice thing about this place though, is that the developers actually participate when they have a little time to do so, and I think a lot of people here, including myself, really appreciate that.

I was mostly referring to the negative threads that turn into arguments about fan service ect. The posative ones are more tolerable but then the posative one's can turn intp that too and  tbh I am kinda sick of hearing about him now.

That's called sarcasm, Parmida.

But anyway, Mikeymoonshine, if you ever want a sensible discussion without the squeeing/irritation I'd suggest visiting the main Cullen thread located in the Dragon Age 2 companions/npc forum.

Not sure if you can find weeds in Thedas, so I don't think they can make edible out of sarcasm, maybe regular cookies.

Pretty sure that's just the BSN in general. Half the time people don't seem to read beyond the first sentence before they start their comment, whether for good or bad. And then it just goes downhill from there.

They should give him the Mhairi treatment. Early in Inquisition Cullen should join the party as a temporary companion, then die abruptly as a plot device. He should join with "Cullen's Ring" already equipped, which should give +2 str, +2 dex, +2 con, -1 int, -1 will, makes wearer more susceptible to stuns and mental effects. The ring should be restricted to Cullen and the Inquisitor. That way, your character can wear his ring and pine over his corpse.

If fans complain enough, maybe a DLC will provide an extended cut of Cullen's death scene with an awkward soliloquy in the middle where Cullen tells you what will happen after he dies. The DLC could be called "Artistic Integrity."

Yes, I have been drinking... why do you ask?
