I'm curious if anyone has edited their save so in the Citadel DLC you encounter the opposite gender to your Shepard.  That's the only thing that could make that scene more awesome so i imagine it's been done.

I've never done that edit myself but I always thought it would have been hysterical meta-game humor to have the clone have the opposite chromosome or something like that to have BroShep vs FemShep.

it would have been very cool ... but how would the real shepard know, how his/her opposite-sex clone would look like?

this is a problem. the next problem would be, that broshep would try to bang the femclone.

Though it might have been cool in a reaaaaaally fanservice way, the whole "I'm going to take over your life" plot doesn't work AT ALL with a differently gendered Shepard.

I don't see anything wrong here.B)

For the first question though, I always assumed Brooks or CloneShep would say that they were made using an altered chromosome (similar to Miranda) or something like that.

This would only work if bro and fem shep were infact siblings and then the issue becomes why did Cerberus waste money cloning their bro/sis instead of them? It would mess with their head to fight their sibling but not as much as fighting yourself.

I seem to remember Mark Meer actually wanted it to be like this in the original Citadel DLC. IIRC, he said so in some interview. :)

Are you sure he was serious when he said that?

You are wrong. Your point - that it should be singular - is moot because "they" could well be the singular they and unless you happen to be Shepard first person "I'll bang" is incorrect.

It's still "we'll bang, ok" only without the question. Because if m and f Shep met, there would be banging. If only For Science.

On a serious note, Mark Meer once said in an interview that he thought it would've been an interesting twist if they gender-swapped the clone.

Also, I changed the quote in order to reflect that both will bang.

And this bang would be so awesome that it would melt starkid like the Raiders of Lost Arc's ****

Paragon BroShep + Renegade FemShep = Reapers obliterated.

I remember Mark Meer and Jen Hale joking about a BroShep/FemShep romance, shame that that's not like an Easter Egg or something in the DLC.  Although i'm not sure how that would work as the save editor warns you of changing the gender flag with a custom built Shepard.  Maybe it would work with default Shepard.

Mark Meer Interview

Not sure if this the same one you're refering to but i recall him talking about the clone being the opposite gender here.
