I suggest sending words to encouragement to your teammates e.g.

1. Great, you managed to survive on that wave without being killed. Keep up the good work.
2. I used to totally suck at using that character/weapon as well.
3. This game has some BS mechanics. Don’t take it personally that you were killed just because you running around in the open for several seconds.
4. I used to buy cheap controllers and like you they caused me to keep missing the enemy.
5. Don’t feel you have to continually go down to please your teammates. Your teammates like collecting medals, but not this way.

I believe on Valentine's day you are meant to perform some physical real life interactions which you can't simply do with this game. So people are off doing those things e.g. snuggling <3 (as suggested by Cassandra)
