I've looked through fanfic lists but haven't been successful. Does anyone know of well-written fanfiction of considerable length featuring a renegade female Shepard with a Liara romance that covers ME1-ME3; a story that doesn't deviate too much from ME lore? Please don't mention the Dark Energy series. Despite being well-written, that Shepard isn't truly renegade when it comes to decisions.
I'm looking for a specific type of fanfiction...

I have an unpublished ME3 story with a ****ty ending. Honestly I don't know how well written it is. It's one of my early efforts. It's a renegade femShep with a Liara romance. I'm sure it has its moments, but I'm sure it has its downsides. I'll have to go over it again.
How many f-bombs can you handle? Shepard is an alcoholic, and chain smokes. I should qualify this... there's this one scene....

I don't mind cursing or even "mature" content. I get annoyed how practically every Shepard fanfiction is of a paragon Shepard. It's like people cannot conceive of Liara being with a Shepard who does things like kill the rachni queen or sacrifice the council to stop Sovereign even when those decisions actually make the most logical sense. A renegade Shepard doesn't have to be loathsome; just capable of making the hard calls.

Do you want to hear something ironic. That is the only renegade conversation with Saren on Youtube, and it is there only because I requested someone on HTL put it there. I figured Shepard would be mad as hell, not playing nicie nice with Saren like the (paragon pansies) did. I ended ME1 with an 80% renegade score. I spared the rachni queen because I had Liara and Wrex with me and it was pissing off Wrex - so I let her go. He blew a gasket. I shot Wrex on Virmire and dumped his body in the swamp. I saved the Council. I shot up the Colony (first play through) -- I didn't know what those things were, but spared Shiala. Executed Rana Thanoptis for what she did to the Salarians. Kaidan died - he was boring and I didn't like the VA. Shoved a gun in Conrad's face. Forced Lorik Qui'in to cooperate with Parasini (hey it was a for a beer), helped Helena Blake get established. Arrested Balak in Bring Down the Sky, but apparently the Alliance let him go. I did play shoot the Batarian a few times. Next time I put a bullet in him. His partner? As soon as he mentioned "slave grab" = dead. My Shepard was a colonist. You know stuff like that.
Shepard commits to Liara pre-trial in the FF. They're bondmates. So on the Normandy, Liara lives in Shepard's quarters. I mean WTF not, right?
Okay, I'll pull this one together, see if I can tweak the ending so it's not so stupid.... I tried to work around it with what they gave us, but it's the crap they gave us. Then I'll slap it up as a beta on FF.net. Shepard is more of a renegon, not the renegade-ass****. It's campy, but you'd expect nothing less of me. I'm a Myers-Briggs ESFP.

I've just got to say..... that whole sequence leading up to Saren's self infliected gun shot..... whch led to a sequence of him falling off his platform and through a glass ceiling.....
That's the BW I know and love. Never just killing someone when they can amp it up with some tense music and plumetting through afishtank...... window.
The whole thing just says cinematic

The reason I'd like to see a renegade story is besides making Shepard more gray (interesting) the decisions often make more logical sense. How can someone really let the rachni queen go? Every rachni in the galaxy including the ones on Peak 15 have been savage beasts. If the queen or its children are like every other rachni in the galaxy... you got another rachni war.
Similar logic with saving the council. How could you throw away vital reinforcements in saving one ship, even if it's a big one, instead of focusing on the reaper that threatens all life in the galaxy? What if Sovereign succeeded because of that? Would Shepard just say "Oops"?
I'd like to see a fanfiction that makes the hard decisions because they make the most sense and have Shepard deal with the consequences like a racist Citadel in ME2 who's ignorant to just why the council was sacrificed.

Granted the rachni decision is pretty sketchy. I kind of looked at it like a certain Star Trek TOS episode I saw when I was a young teen. I can't remember which one. But Spock melded with the creature. I was influenced by that episode. But the rachni played no factor at all in my ME3 FF. So you could say they were killed. Having played the game and seeing that your choice didn't matter, that the Reapers got the Rachni anyway probably because of a captured Cerberus lab, I didn't include them. I just focused on the main quest line and the main sub plots.
The Destiny Ascension? That was a tactical decision. It wasn't about three people. It had a crew of 10,000. and the ship had more firepower in its main gun than the entire asari fleet combined according to Joker. Just because Bioware never showed the thing firing is not my problem: the designed a great looking ship but couldn't figure out firing graphics for it. The ship was a one shot reaper killer pre-thanix which is why the geth were focusing on it. Logic would have had the DA coming around and taking the final shot on Sovereign. Video game logic had the Normandy, a mere frigate the size of a fly in comparison killing it. Remember only its shields were damaged. Once the barrage ends the shields can come back up. Renegade or paragon had nothing to do with it.
Honestly I thought having Shepard, a mere Lt. Cmdr. with no fleet tactics at the time make the call was pretty lame. Shepard had very little experience commanding a single ship, and now (s)he's making decisions for the entire Fifth Fleet through Joker, nonetheless? Shouldn't that kind of call be made by the admiral of the Fifth Fleet, Admiral Hackett? Again, video game logic vs. logic. I can pick at these scabs forever.
I'm not going to revisit ME1 and ME2. I have a small three person writing group that is doing a rewrite of ME3 and it's a renegade femShep. Pretty much the same one as above, but in this one she doesn't return to the Alliance because of Arrival. She also blew up the Collector Base because she got tired of being jerked around by The Illusive Man. They got what they wanted from it anyway. It's going to be nothing like the game. I'm ignoring all of the lore generated post Arrival. We've got our plot, and I've already written the ending. It's going to take a while to write.

The thing with the Ascension was the game wants you to only factor in whether you should sacrifice vital reinforcements to save those 10,000 lives at the risk of the galaxy or focus on Sovereign giving yourself a better chance of succeeding. If there really was no tactical downside to saving the Ascension then why wouldn't Shepard open the arms to send the cavalry in unless they're a full-blown racist? "Let the council die" comes across that way but "Focus on Sovereign" sounds like a sound-minded, wise strategic decision. "Save the council" has Shepard say "We need to save the Ascension no matter the cost" or something similar. No matter the cost? What if the cost is the galaxy, Shepard? Eh.
Good luck with your fanfiction. I don't like fanfiction that strays from the ME lore though. I just want it to fill the gaps.
