I'm fine with mages in general, and I am not incredibly pro-templar.

Elves are non-negotiable, freakin knife ears

I like my elf shoes though.  Literally lets me walk all over them.

You know I meant Lambert with "certain people with issues" right? I hope Cole had his way with him. At least the eyes were beautiful.

Its not an Assumption. Do you think the meeting happened out of nowhere? It was made to prevent the war, the one that was already brewing all over Thedas.

Which is what the situation was pre Asunder, you were suggesting it was open rebellion, Which it wasn't.

The one circle besides Kirkwall to rebel was confirmed anulled.

And i truly don't care what you demonic bedroom kinks are.

The Enchanters you run into while you are chasing down Thrask's Rebellion were all Blood Mages, The Mages accompanied by Grace were all blood mages...It was seemingly common among the circle there, You had Enchanter and Mage alike doing it, Ultimately the first enchanter was proven to be a blood mage, its just...How much rot can you look at before you just suspect the entire thing to be corrupted to the core?

He actually wasn't a blood mage; he didn't activate the ritual until then. He was also not covering up blood magic within the Circle; if he was, that actually would have made for a better outcome, as Orsino and Thrask could have actually spoken with each other, and the Best Served Cold debacle avoided completely.

Ending back at square one would actually be a pretty powerful message for the Templar/Mage issue, it is an endless cycle

Perhaps. Though it'd be a tall order for Bioware to make such a statement work. I wouldn't doubt that they'd want to play it safe after the ME3 fiasco. Can you imagine the tears? Almost makes it tempting.

Do not forget there is still the possibility of Templars getting cerberus treatment. It already worries many people. The footage that showed Red Templars in action and the fact that Templars have no leader at least yet is a small evidence towards that. Hence the Uneven Presentation of the mage-templar conflict

Not going to happen. The closest analogy is the Geth - Quarian conflict and both sides were portrayed neutrally.

True. But I think it's presumptuous on both parts to assume they did or did not learn it there. That's a big problem with this series, we have no actual eye witness accounts or codex facts about what goes on inside. We only see the outside.

I suppose i can agree with that sentiment.

Its just i hope you can understand my stance a bit better now as well.

I do not combat mages because i dislike them ( in fact i found several very amusing and witty) But i do it because i honestly believe it will lead to a better path.

Its not blatant mage hate.

If there's any of them left if the templars win, of course.

It remains to be seen if the ones left submitting will even make a difference in said war.

Personally, I would find it absolutely hilarious if they lost to the Qun, resulting in their ultimate submission.

Well to be honest Tevinter never "lost" the war. Southern people got their land back but they lost it for a thousand year before. Tevinter defeated Andrastians in the war but were too spent to take the land back no to mention there was a blight and then came the QUnari. Why do you think Tevinter was canceled for DA:I? If we deal with the Qunari somehow then there will be a much greater opportunity to explore a Tevinter at its full power

Given that Bioware has already confirmed the "Templar Order" Will be an in game faction, i am going off the assumption they will be portrayed in and of themselves and not merely as Red Templars.

It seems those are just a splinter group of the Order.

It's full power disappeared a thousand years before the game series started.

We may one day see will be but a broken remnant of what was once probably the grandest Empire in Thedosian History.

Nope. Templars are a faction of humanity not a race. One made to protect it. A sword to protect humanity only to become a dagger to its back.

Assuming the Red Templars don't make up the Order now, with the templars whose better side we'd get to see remaining loyal to the Divine.

Would it be better if I mentioned they were dalish shoes?  I don't have much of a problem with city elves.

Even if the Qun will be gone (which we don't know when an if it'll happen), it'd take decades, for Tevinter to restore (part of) his power. And it wouldn't reach full power regardless. Teviter was on a (very slow) declining curve long before the Qun.
I'd say Tevinter might be one of the countries we might explore in an eventual Game about the Qunari War, along with the other Northern countries.

No, I absolutely do have a better grasp and understanding now. With a lot of your statements that I want to oppose are disagree, I find it difficult because we simply do not know the truth. Hopefully in Inquisition we'll get a bit more clarity on everything.

I'd strongly doubt that personally.

Not merely because it would be butchering the entire Templar/Mage Conflict (Seriously, Okay we want to support the Templars...Sorry you can't!)

It also would ruin Pro Templar playthroughs and given Bioware has been hyping up this conflict for a while now, i figure they will want to have that option available come DAI even if the conflict isn't resolved within it.

Well despite all those attacks and threats, Minrathous is the oldest city of Thedas and it was never conquered. This is you who is assuming now, I'm not a fan of Tevinter but they are in no way weak. I don't want to assume anything but clearly tevinter is stronger than any other single Nation Thedas has right now.

You'll get to be as pro-Chantry as possible still. No true problem exists because you'll get to uphold the true spirit of the Order and all that garbage.

The way Bioware talked about the conflict, we'll be able to support mages and templars (regardless of the war ends or not in DAI).

You don't think the Red Templars are a little more extreme than Cerberus?
