Literally the greatest BSN quote of all time.
I think it's a great quote for many forum sites on the internet. Reddit comes to mind.
I 800000% agree with this, it was a normal response for anyone. After what he had been through, I'm surprised it wasn't worse tbh
No kidding, especially after gods-know how many hours he spent being tortured. And yet, after all of that, he was still willing to let Hawke arrest some mages rather than kill them during the RoA. I'm not a Cullen fangirl, but I am impressed that he still had restraint left after the Broken Circle. His perspective would help give the Templars some better PR. We've had good apostates over the years, which show that not all mages outside the Circle are evil blood mages out to steal yo' babies. I'd like to see a full fledged Templar do the same as a companion that the apostate companions have done for us..
It's really easy to condemn both templars and mages after the events of DA2, and some of the events of Origins. However, I'm still curious about what motivates the average Templar. I used Cullen as an example earlier, but it doesn't have to be him. The Templar character I'd like to see is not the zealot, not the abuser, but a person that is like a harder version of Sebastian. Someone that believes in the Chant, believes in the Maker and always strives to never give into blind hate. I picture s/he to be a capable fighter showing no mercy to an abomination, yet does not paint all mages with the same broad and bloody brush. Someone that isn't afraid to use force and is quite good at it, but strives to use more of a gentler and diplomatic tactic than most of the Templars we've witnessed over the years. Instead of either totally ignorant and blind (oh hai Kerras!) or completely loony. (oh, hai Alrik.
)
That's just me though. I'm rambling. Time for bed, happy weekend everyone. ![]()
