Not all responsibility but from most of it, 90% of it seems about fine. He chooses to thrive on suffering of someone he hates and he is not the one inflicting the suffering. The fundamental belief becomes irrelevant here, he just wants to see him suffer, the way he suffers does not matter to him in tiniest ways.
Then his belief worth nothing.
Dang it!
You beat me to it!
I was looking forward to pointing out how she repeatedly dealt with Demons while at the same time harping on about how Demons were dangerous.
You mean how Merrill learned blood magic from a trapped spirit who was impotent because it was trapped in a statute for over a millennia? That's not an example of Merrill 'repeatedly' dealing with spirits.
That's incorrect. While i'm strongly pro-Elf, i am not particularly pro-Dalish and certainly not pro-Mage.
I'd also like to point out, that demons were also Maker's First Children in Andrastian faith, the same as the spirits, just feasting on different emotions.
What do you think about Arcane Warriors, Dreamers, Keepers, etc. I would like to know, because i almost always play a elven mage or rogue.
Because of an emotional imbalance that prevents them from being objective about the experience and technically the one tranquil was murdered, only the murderer claims he begged to die rather then go back to being it. And that's hardly objective to me.
I don't understand the comparison given Tranquility is far sight better then death.
And that's debatable, i obviously disagree.
If you like being human no the hell it is not better than death.
But I am not surprised at this opinion.
Though I wonder if pro-templars would still strongly share the opinion if it was they themselves being made tranquil.

She summoned a Demon to breach a Barrier around a graveyard as well.
And you are the only who maintains that practice was harmless, and that she did not make a deal with said creature to obtain blood magic.
There is nothing to indicate as much within game.

You are taking me far to literally renfrees.
Fair enough, and i don't see much need to rehash that point, We both disagree i obviously think all blood magic should be discouraged and using it is blatant folly.
And i know right? Here i am trying to defend probably the second biggest sleeze ball of a templar since Karras against rape charges
I should look up Koby's lawyer and see if he has any pointers.
And i'd like coffee as well but alas its mid afternoon here so i am just sticking with water or tea.
My day usually starts in the afternoon, so that's why the coffee now. For the record, Kahlua brand coffee is really good, even for someone like me that had to quit drinking. ![]()
@Lob You're right. We only heard of her dealing with any spirit directly once, outside of the Fade event. And anyone except for Anders can screw you over there. You have to work to anger Justice enough, but everyone else is fair game.

I actually had thought about making certain Templars Tranquil as well, Giving them greater disciple in their talents and skills and all.
Some select elite core of them, I dismissed the idea offhandedly given it wasn't going to be popular most likely, but i don't discount it out of base morality i'd assume it quite efficient.
You are taking me far to literally renfrees.
So there's no Mage-Dalish Coalition? ![]()

seriously, can we leave the merril discussion dead and burried. It is fruitless exhausting and seems to really irritate peoples stupid tolerance. Some like Merril some don't leave it alone.
So there's no Mage-Dalish Coalition?
Well there may be, I wouldn't be aware of it as you obviously never invite me to your secret meetings. And I like elf cooking. Ya'll probably have Lembas don't ya'll! You do!
Tranquil Templars...Unfeeling, Unflinching Warriors of duty.
Like i said i had given this notion thought.
I'd like to think they would be even more effective in their duties.
Do you think the "Tranquil solution" will be in DA:I?

There ya go. We have the solution to the Mage problem. Templar guards in the towers are Tranquil. that should work out great for everyone......................
You know, I could actually support this. Let the Templars experience what it's like to have their comrade become an emotionless killing machine that's a puppet for any senior ranking Templar. If it's good enough for "bad" mages, then it's good enough for Templars that abuse their power and abuse their charges.

Kefka approves. ![]()

I'm sorry, the topic of Anders' petty act just irritated me above usual. To this point i thought it had no justification even for his supporters. Obviously i was wrong.
Guess i'm not taking humor for what it is today ![]()

I don't think i'd be able to do deal with life with out the occasional comfort of a bottle or something to take away the occasional "annoyances" of life.
And i like several brands of coffee, i have one those Kurig coffemakers that uses the canisters so i switch up what i drink pretty regularly, right its some "doughnut house" blend.
Do you think the "Tranquil solution" will be in DA:I?
Hopefully so. I was intrigued with my evil Templar playthrough of DA II, felt as if my fem-Hawke Warrior Templar was Lord Vader.
Though if it is, I want another solution in place for the mages to invoke.

In lulabs defense he isn't really defending it, he is just arguing that it doesn't make Anders a hypocrit.
But hey, this is the mage templar thread, from terrorism to rape, someone here can justify just about anything. ![]()

If the mages obey the circle and chantry law, there really wouldn't any issues would there?
It's just difficult to argue shades of gray with beings who don't have the construct of emotions in the anyway.
Mages and templars should start coffee shops and bakeries together, making sh** loads of money and becoming increasingly interdependent.
That's the route to peace. ![]()
@Z This is off topic, but I'll get back on point in a minute. I had to quit drinking, and not by choice. It wasn't hard, but I was a fall down drunk. For an idea: I was drinking about 750mL a day of Rumplemintz. For those that don't know, that's 100 proof schnapps and that was daily. I'm not a large gal either. Between me turning into a total female dog and my declining health, I had to quit drinking. I have no problem if others do; I do so on very rare occasion.
Duken Donuts has some damned good coffee too. I love their French Vanilla.
Okay, being civil is over. Wait, Z, aren't we supposed to be debating about robes and skirts now? ![]()
@Martin Well, seems to work for the Netherlands. ![]()

No argument from me.
In fact its Kami approved!
