Elves just seem like they are in deep crap. If they segregate themselves from the humans, they have nowhere to go really or they are discriminated against, and if they live with the humans they go instinct, it's just a matter of time, because inbreeding gives populace to only humans.

Probably not that differently, as it seems unlikely that elfblooded humans were going to get anywhere within human society anyway.

Actually, it's been a fun night.  Go back about 20-ish pages or so.  There was a lot of laughs.

 

And Z's "buckethead" comment should give you an idea.   We've been giggling together for once.  It was glorious.

To me, it seems like the main difference between Xil and Lob in this is issue is that Lob believes the elves need to use war and reclaim the Dales by force and can not only succeed but somehow still do so without committing any ethnic cleansing or the like.

 

While Xil's preference is instead "Destroy all humans."

Considering that at least physically there isn't much distinguishing them from normal humans i don't see why their parentage would overly hinder them.

To clarify: I'm not suggesting that the Dalish should, morally speaking, destroy all humans or that this is a desirable action for any character to undertake. What I've said is primarily a hope for some sort of third-party or environmental action that evens out population numbers (the Ghost Dance thing wouldn't have to be fatal).

 

However, retaking the Dales will require no ethnic cleansing. Those humans who wish to remain living under elven government will be free to do so.
