Being aware of other peoples priorities =/= taking those into account.

If an individual wishes to survive (his or her most important priority), then he or she will take into account that others have the same priority to survive.

This necessarily limits one's actions. If not that, then laws do.

Until you get to the top of the ladder, where you are above the law and have no limits to your actions, while no one can even trace any of them back to you.

Gaddafi and Hussein would like to have a word with you. Oh wait, they can't. They're dead.

Not even then. There are many examples in history where rulers see themselves above the law and disregard others only to end with them being assassinated.

Not even close to the top.

They weren't for most of their careers, until the people got sick of their crap?  Huh, I must have grown up in an alternate late 20th century then.

Are those really the people you consider to be at the top?

Who do you consider to be at the top, wise guy? Don't be so evasive. Go on.

Well, we had a good thing going with most of the hot Mage on Templar action confined to one thread, but that appears to have finally faded. It will be a shame to see this thread end. So close to 300 pages. We coulda been somebody.

We coulda been a contender.

I promised you 200 additional pages and you will get 200 additional pages.

Until you get to the top of the ladder, where you are above the law and have no limits to your actions, while no one can even trace any of them back to you.

Ummm, perhaps we should return to the topic at large, ladies and gentlemen?

They have no names or faces known to the public, or at least not as their actual social status.

Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot, the Romanovs (although Nicholas was simply disconnected but well-intentioned. He just surrounded himself with corrupt advisors) Hussein and so on. 20th century leaders. All of them evil despots...well, all but the Romonovs who were simply isolated and genuinely thought things were well and let despots run things. None of them lasted.

Now then, I propose we get out of real world politics and get back to the uneven presentation of mages and templars otherwise this thread is likely in very real danger of being shut down.

So me basically? Thank you for acknowledging my status at the top of the ladder.

So here's a question to help us get back on topic: What do you guys want to see as far as better presentation between Templars and Mages?

Imagine if Templars had Mage repellant and when they sprayed it on said Mage, he or she would turn into a tiny fly?

Then I would accuse said templar of being a maleficar and dabbling in strange magic and make him tranquil. Doesn't matter if he's innocent or not, it's the technicality that counts!

What? That's the same logic the templars and the chantry use.  ;)

I personally never felt like any of the groups was misrepresented.

That's what the mage-templar conflict needs. An unseen arbiter who wills it to end. That shall be me. You're welcome.  :)

How did this thread go from Mages whining about the supposed injustices done to them with Lob occasionally tooting the Dalish Master race horn to Nug condoms?

God is confused by his creations occasionally.

Committing genocide, confining people to concentrated areas, vilifying an entire group because of how they were born - I don't really think your Godwin obsession really works in condemning the Dalish.

And you're not God.
