Its quite obvious actually. We cannot cure possession. There is absolutely no way to remove the fade entity without killing the host. That said since the entity will never leave someone merged with one is completely immune to tranquility because you are trying to severe them from the fade while the fade is inside their very soul.

 

You do realize you bump Lyrium to mage's head to make them tranquil? As codex states spirits and demons can manipulate Lyrium's very being. They will absorb it as food

Well if a mage walks to a demon and says possess me please same thing happens. Anders and Wynne are immune to tranquility, that's for certain. We however don't know what happens on forced possessions.

No, I meant 99% of possessions have the Fade entity, be it spirit or demon, still within the Fade, thus Anders having a huge difference.

Not exactly 99% but yeah many. Technically all fade entities who cross over are "trapped" because the veil works both ways, its hard to enter and exit. That said if a mage willingly walks to a fade entity who is on Thedas and asks to be possessed Anders scenario happens.

 

However even in forced possession if we want to make them tranquil we would need tons of lyrium to individually enter the fade and confront the fade entity, successfully defeat it then make the said mage tranquil. Without it the mage is still immune to tranquility.

The Chantry is the bibical great beast, and it has been wounded. It will be fighting a defensive war in which a victory will merely restore its status quo, and a defeat will destroy it utterly. It will ultimately gain nothing from the conflict, while the mages can gain in a myriad of ways.

 

It's pretty much the only thing that matters. Keep the Chantry on the defensive, turn them into an ally or utterly annihilate them. Big on the latter, not above the former.

 

The Qunari are nothing more than a bridge to be crossed in the future; The Qun has the Magisters to contend with. Not to give you the impression that it'll be easy or perhaps even possible for the victor(s) to cross said bridge when all is said and done, however.

Ok, i feel generous, so let me be very clear on the matter:

In case Qun will strike (and they will, it is only a matter of time), yes - the Chantry will go down first, as they are obliged to protect mundanes, besides that they are conflicting philosophy/religion. But the mages will recall Circle days as a paradise, compared to the Qun.

What did you address - the vague "we will deal when the time comes"? I described the impending and certain outcome for mages under the Qun, but you are free to stuff it into the back of your shelf and continue to play with the Chantry.
