There's no arguement it was magical. it just there is now way for the magic to come from Ander's.eluvianix wrote...

Guys, we are all in agreement that it was Blood Magic supplemented by a cursed tome given to Emo Che by Tevinter Agents.
No, although I do agree that the damn thing was freaking magical. I thought the red lightning shooting out of the building made that blatantly obvious.
Uneven Presentation of the mage-templar conflict

Agreed. At least, not without lyrium. (Red or blue).
And why could he not? He was in a symbiotic relationship with a living Fade battery.

I don't recall them holding lyrium at the chantry. Wouldn't they store it at the gallows? For that matter, where dod Anders even GET the lyrium? I can't imagine him having much money to smuggle some.
Also provide proof that mages can't enhance it with their powers.

That can only be used to ignite, not power. For magical Items it normally is powered by a material in the item or a mages channeling it directly to the items. There's no glyph's the channel power from that far distance.durasteel wrote...
It could have been triggered by a glyph, or incorporated magic into the design in any number of ways. I don't see anything to suggest that it did, but I'm saying we don't--and can't--know for sure one way or the other based on the info we have.leaguer of one wrote...
And my point is that it was not powered by Ander's Magic.

Oh come now, you can't believe that Anders wasn't studying the dark arts when creating the block buster or that he wasn't a proxy for Tevinter.
Used by Tevintar maybe, but an agent for Tevintar unlikely.
Also just cause it uses advanced magister theories doesn't mean its a dark art, tevintar magic and magic theory even in current Thedas is just plain more advanced than the other nations.

Would you store lyrium in the same building as mages who can use it to amplify their powers and have shown a want of escape? Or the same building that is guarded by people you feed it too and just so happen serves as a leash to keep the Templars under control?Veruin wrote...

2. Ander's knows where and how the templars are smggling Lyrium. How easy would it for him to kill some lyrium smugglers and take it from them.
3. The gallows is just the end destination of lyrium. It still has to go to throught the chanrty for the lyrium to be recored and shipped.

Good to see I'm not the only one who thinks that Anders could have been used by Tevinter, do you also think he was in contact with Tevinter agents or think his resistance movement was actually just another tevinter proxy?
Tell that to Anders, I'm simply exploring the possiblity of Tevinter links with Che's little club and block party.eluvianix wrote...

Power of blood magic depends on how much suffering and whatnot as used to obtain it. Not who's blood it is. Probably why they can't simply use animals for blood rituals since they don't have the higher functions of people.
